Hotel was well located nearby hiking trails and other attractions. The room was very nice, and the facilities in the hotel (sauna, gym) were also great.
Breakfast was plentiful. Dinner was just ok.

lastly its important to note: they originally tried to give me a different room than the one i had booked (of course one 'inferior'). the staff tried to say that there was nothign to be done as the platforms (such as Trip, Booking, etc) ”oversell” rooms and then the hotel can't fulfil this request .... this is the first i've come across something like this, and after some insisting, i was placed in the room i booked. still, this left a strange note for the start of my trip.
I recently stayed at the Grand Hotel Cravat in Luxembourg, and it was a delightful experience. The hotel beautifully blends historical charm with modern luxury. My spacious room offered stunning city views, and the elegant decor adds to its allure. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, enhancing my stay. Breakfast in the lovely dining room featured a delicious selection of local dishes. Its prime location made it easy to explore nearby attractions. Overall, the Grand Hotel Cravat is a superb choice for anyone looking to experience the charm and elegance of Luxembourg. Highly recommended!
Nice vintage hotel, walking in the room can be abit noisy due to the wood flooring. Bathroom is small but everything else was good. Do not check in until 2.30pm as it wasn’t allow. Staff is very nice when checking in. Good stay for 1 night.

I stayed at the DoubleTree Luxembourg with my 80-year-old father, who is unwell and was extremely tired after a long day of travelling. Unfortunately, the room we were given was right next to the elevator motors, and the noise kept both of us awake almost the entire night. My father finally managed to fall asleep around 7:00–7:30 AM after hours of discomfort.
However, at 8:00 AM, there was a knock on our door. I opened it half-asleep, and the staff member simply said “It’s ok” and walked away. I later saw the same person again in uniform, so clearly they were a member of the hotel team. I still cannot understand why they knocked at that time, and what exactly was “ok,” especially when it was obvious the room had severe noise issues and guests could still be resting.
I shared all of this with the reception team and politely asked to speak with the manager. Instead of a brief conversation or even a quick acknowledgment, I was handed a handwritten note with the manager’s email. After travelling with an elderly parent who was in pain and exhausted, I was genuinely hoping for a bit of understanding or empathy. Even a short apology would have meant a lot at that moment.
I should mention that breakfast was also quite basic and didn’t match the DoubleTree standard I’m familiar with, so overall the stay was unfortunately far below what I usually experience with Hilton properties.
I’m writing this not to complain for the sake of complaining, but because the situation placed my father—who is already unwell—under a lot of unnecessary stress. As a loyal Hilton Honors member, this experience was difficult for me, and I sincerely hope management can review what happened and decide on an appropriate way to make this right.

It was quite cosy stay just for a night to sleep. Bed is comfortable and same are pillows. Floors have no carpets so sleepers would be a good advantage but they are absent. Shower is clean and nice.
Very friendly and assisting front desk staff, lobby has kids friendly play station, about 10mins walk from lux train station, room and toilet is clean and well-furnished.
Very modern, about 30 minutes from the city when you walk to the tram etc. The service was slow, some issues with the air-conditioning unit took a while to fix. I appreciate that they advertise. They have a free bar in the room but it really is a couple of soft drinks. A coffee machine would have been a welcome addition to the room, otherwise the room was comfortable.

GGästanvändareThis hotel is well placed in a quieter area and the free bus is available just outside the door. The staff were extremely friendly and the rooms were really clean. They serve a good buffet breakfast in a lovely small room. Overall we were very pleased with our stay.

Unfortunately, my experience was not good and I feel Queen luxury robbed me! I responded to an email and share my arrival time. more than three hours later When I got there on time 30 min after the allowed check in time , I had to wait for the cleaning lady to finish, 20 mins later.
There were lots of hair around (on the floor, in the bathroom, even the bed cover.
I had issues with their internet and couldn't access site and complete my work. I requested their help at 10:35 and was promised a technician promptly. I had to use a nearby coffee's Wi-fi. Five hours still nobody! I called again and was told the technician forgot to come by trying and fix the issue. Eventually they did reach out to help but I left the place a day earlier.

GGästanvändareThe place is gorgeous. The apartment has everything you might need for a short or a longer stay. Everything was convenient, and I enjoyed the stay. The location is overall good in terms of reaching the very heart of the city (~7 min walk), and the tram station (~3 min walk), but the gare district feels a bit creepy for a solo traveler at night. Luckily, the hotel is at the border of the district and the center, so you do not really have to experience the district. Would totally recommend.
