Europa Terme Boutique Hotel

For several years now, my wife and I have been visiting the Europa Hotel in Abano Terme. And every time we find ourselves in an atmosphere of home comfort and warmth. Excellent service and a friendly atmosphere begin at the reception, where each guest is greeted as an old friend and buddy. The entire hotel staff is always ready to consult, help and advise on any issue regarding accommodation at the hotel. And everything is done with great pleasure, sincerely and warmly. Excellent cuisine in the restaurant, the chef and the entire team of cooks superbly prepare and decorate each dish, the team of waiters works in the halls impeccably, professionally and quickly. Cleanliness of the rooms, cleanliness and beauty of the pools and all recreation areas around the pool are at the highest level. Many words of gratitude to all the staff of the Europa Hotel (maids, bartenders, massage therapists). But all this excellent work of the hotel staff would not be possible without the most important person - a wonderful, hospitable person with a big soul and heart, Mr. Francesco Tognin. This is the owner of the hotel "Europe", who has assembled such a wonderful team and warmly welcomes each guest as the most dear guest in his home. Vacationing in "Europe", we each time get a charge of energy for the whole year, a lot of warmth and kindness. Thank you all very much for your work. This hotel was probably beautiful back in its glory days but unfortunately it is in dire need of renovation and a deep cleaning. The staff were very indifferent and quite unfriendly unless you were a repeat guest. The hallway carpets are dingy and need replacing, and the rooms as well. The bathroom tiles and shower need re-grouting and the air conditioning in the room was very weak. The pools and spa are spacious but could also use a deep clean - there were stains on some of the loungers and cushions. Breakfast was just ok - not a big selection by Italian standards and the pastries were quite stale. The lobby and breakfast room are lovely spaces and the servers at breakfast were nice. For $300 euro a night for 2 adults and a child - I would find accommodations elsewhere in Abano Terme.

I would highly recommend this hotel over the many found in this town. Impeccable service and beautiful facilities.

A wonderful, family atmosphere, top-notch service, excellent staff, a large selection of food in the hotel restaurant, cleanliness in the hotel itself and in the rooms, cleanliness in the pools and surrounding area, and a wonderful location in the city center. My reaction to the Europa Terme (ET) is maybe not the fairest. I was in Abano Terme for a 5 day professional conference. The conference hotel was full, so I looked for a reasonably priced hotel within walking distance of the conference hotel. The ET served my purpose - a reasonably priced hotel with all of the required facilities in downtown Abano Terme. The ET is not a modern hotel - it is a traditional hotel. Everything worked well, from the internet to the air conditioning. It is just not new. The staff was friendly and the provided breakfast was excellent. That said, the ET is not a business hotel. It is a spa-hotel that caters to Italian senior citizen tour groups. There is a big swimming pool, thermal baths, a spa, messages - all of which you pay extra for. There is a fixed price lunch and dinner, which seemed a bit pricy and so I did not partake. I also did not take advantage of any of the spa facilities and so cannot comment on them. The other guests seemed to be enjoying them and they came to the ET for the spa experience. If you are looking for a spa-thermal bath springs experience in Abano Terme, the ET seems to be a good place to go. If you are looking for a business business trip hotel, you might want to look elsewhere. Downtown Abano seems to have no convenience stores or small markets. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the ET. However, it is a 15-20 minute walk to reach a real market or convenience store.

This hotel was probably very elegant years ago but the age is showing and repairs in the rooms and common areas are needed. The air conditioning was pretty weak and our room temperature went down but never got cool. The shower is quite small and bathroom tiles needs regrouping. The front desk staff were indifferent and not very welcoming. The spa and pools were nice but could be cleaner - there were some stains on the chaise cushions and the loungers. Breakfast was ok but not great for Italian standards - baked goods were kind of stale. The breakfast room was elegant and the servers do bring hot drinks to your table. Price for a night was also quite high - $300 euro for 2 adults and a child.
