Agriturismo Borgo San Martino

What a beautiful place, with a view of the mountains and a small town below perched. The rooms had in floor heating, and they were so wonderfully furnished. The hosts of this beautiful place were so accommodating for our large group of 13, and prepared a great meal the night of our arrival, my only disappointment was we didn’t stay longer! Warm and attentive hosts, lovingly restored hotel with garden and beautiful location! Our stay was peaceful and perfect overall. We were excited about our stay at Il Portone and the experience exceeded our expectations! The dinners were 4 courses of homemade pastas and desserts with local meats, wine and cheeses. We also enjoyed the homemade bread and yogurt at breakfast. The room had a view of the mountains and is very clean and comfortable with amenities. We had a car so from Il Portone we took day trips to explore the Maiella national park, the trabocchi coast, Roman ruins of Alba Facens as well as the beaches of Pescara. One of our party lost their bag with passport, credit card, etc and through our host's efforts, were able to recover it. We reserved the entire place for our 12 family members in the off-season (Thanksgiving week in November) and it couldn't have been more perfect. Gorgeous location. Delicious food. Welcoming hosts. Easy access to the coast, mountain towns, etc. The rooms were exactly what we had hoped for. Charming and cozy. The views from the property were gorgeous no matter if it was raining or clear--you could see snow-capped mountains, the Adriatic, and distant towns. Church bells echoed in the hills. The dinners we enjoyed were plentiful, leisurely, and delicious. Lots of wine to go around, too! Homemade ravioli, pastas, various local meats and cheeses, meat courses--it was just all amazing and the price was eye-poppingly low compared to what we would have been paying in the United States. One of the other charming parts of the stay were the various pets/animals that would welcome you. Outdoor kitties that appreciated belly rubs, a couple of dogs who appreciated ear scratches, and we even saw a wild boar dart across the road one evening as we were heading back from a tour. If you're looking for something off the beaten path that feels completely comfortable, leisurely, and welcoming, you've found your place!

Abbiamo dormito in questa struttura familiare io e il mio ragazzo, i proprietari gentilissimi é disponibili, regna la genuinità del cibo semplice e contadino e la semplicità del vissuto di una volta.. tutto fatto in caso dalla signora dalla cena alla colazione, cosa unica e rara da apprezzare davvero vorrei più strutture così !!! Il posto è rilassante e tranquillo siamo stati davvero bene

Ci torniamo per la seconda volta questo anno. Contentissimi della prima volta, la seconda volta abbiamo apprezzato ancora di più. Quanta bellezza in questo posto e quanta cortesia e disponibilità. Io l’ho segnalata anche all’associazione delle osterie di Italia per la Loro ospitalità. Vorrei tornare quanto prima ancora!

Posto stupendo , io ed i miei amici ( 4 coppie di pensionati ) abbiamo avuto l’onore di essere ospiti da Giancarlo e Donatella . Qui puoi trovare tutto quello che cerchi , tranquillità , cordialità , ospitalità e soprattutto ottima cucina . Donatella ti coccola con le sue leccornie da leccarsi i baffi, ed ogni sera c’è una cena diversa e buonissima . Le camere sono belle , pulite e spaziose , c’è tutto l’occorrente . Consiglio vivamente questo agriturismo perchè è eccellente . Un abbraccio ai titolari che ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa nostra , dal clan Olivato Roberta . Grazie e arrivederci
