Holiday Inn Abilene - North College Area

Terrible hotel. Upcharged me $443 for a $200 room bc rooms were hard to come by. This is theft. No workable wi-fi. Old hotel - not even a smart TV. Terrible

Recently I had the pleasure of spending 25 nights at the Holiday Inn IHG of Abilene, TX. Located at 3525 W. Lake Rd. This has to be the most pleasurable place I have stayed in years. They checked every block. Clean, quiet and comfortable. I felt very much at home. The entire staff was exceptional. Friendly, inviting, caring and professional. From housekeeping to the GM. Each and every one. First rate. The restaurant was a big surprise. Everything on the menu was terrific. With a 25-night stay, I tried everything, more than once. Superb. The hamburger was the best in town. This will be the only place for me, every time I return to Abilene.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn in Abilene. Check in and out was quick and simple. Front desk clerk was courteous. Bed was comfortable and water was hot. Bartender was courteous and breakfast pancakes were good.

When entering in the lobby, it was wonderful looking. Went to our room and it was ok. Shower has do chalking on the bottom. That’s durable. Went to eat at the grill in hotel. The bartender, Ms. Belisa, was doing the best she could. Serving drinkers, taking food orders, delivering drinks and food to tables as well as the bar, also to go orders. We felt so bad for her. So way to go Ms. Belisa. Shame on whoever scheduled one person to take care of us. The front desk was more on her earbuds than helping. The hallways have dips in the floor, housekeeping has her children with her laying in the hall with bottles and electronics floor and the children going into guests room with her( not very safe). All in all, very disappointed in this stay. We travel frequently and this is a place I would not have reserved on my Owen. Again big kudos to Ms. Belisa.

Hair in the shower and bathroom, dirty hand towel on the chair, dirty socks in the floor, hair on the bed. I don’t think they cleaned the room prior to our arrival. They had only left fresh towels. We were there for a volleyball tournament and the hotel was sold out. We payed too much for this dirty room.

Nice new hotel, with a full service restaurant and lounge. We ate a late dinner and breakfast the next morning, both reasonably priced. There are obviously not enough hotel rooms available in Abilene, as the prices are very high for a hotel of this class in a mid-sized city. The bed was comfortable. There is a little noise from I-20 traffic, though its not as close to I-20 as other hotels.
