What a wonderful place! The rooms are extremely generous and the owners couldn’t do enough to assist. Fresh flapjacks in the hallway as you enter was a nice touch. Beautiful views of Derwentwater and the surrounding foothills from all windows and reasonably priced in comparison to other hotels in the area. Breakfast was great and seemingly never ending! Lovely visit and will visit again

Stayed for a last minute break of 2 nights and we weren’t disappointed. The place is fabulous, the owners are absolutely lovely and the breakfasts are amazing. We stayed in room 4 and the views are to die for. It was spacious, immaculate and bright and airy. There is nothing I can stay negative about this B and B. I would definitely recommend a visit and I know we will both be back soon.

First class! We have just had our 3rd stay at this wonderful place. Clare and Craig are wonderful hosts and always make us feel so welcome. Spotlessly clean, peaceful, wonderful views and garden. Amazing breakfasts-lots of choice including daily specials. The home made baking is a lovely touch. Great location with off road parking. Just a twenty minute walk into Keswick. We would recommend Thyme bistro for dinner, book in advance. Also recommend the Farmers Arms just up the road from Dalegarth for a post hike pint of wainwright Thank you Clare and Craig, see you next year

Dalegarth House is a very comfortable B & B. Extremely attractive building, beautiful garden and wonderful views at the front of Derwentwater. Claire and Craig are very welcoming hosts. The guest areas are well furnished and very comfortable. My single room was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and there is a good sized shower room. Excellent breakfast menu, very comprehensive. Plenty of parking area. I will be planning to return again to this beautiful place.

Last minute booking but reviews were very positive. I totally agree. Very welcoming. Lovely room . Very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast. Would definitely return. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Quiet area but close to all amenities. One of the best places I've stayed.

Fantastic stay here with very welcoming and accommodating hosts. We could not have been made more welcome. Key positives are; Location: Just outside the bustle of Keswick in picture pretty Portinscale (20 min walk to Keswick centre). Portinscale has its own pubs and coffee shops so you might not need to leave. Guest house is well set back from any roads and there’s no road noise Property: Scrupulously clean. Unusually large rooms and bathrooms. Modern fittings and furnishings. There is a fantastic view of Lake Derwent from the front, or alternatively great views of the looming Skiddaw from the back Parking: Ample off road parking for all guests Hosts: Extremely helpful, attentive and accommodating. They gave us lots of help with local information, from taxis to the best spots to swim in the Lake. Breakfasts: All the classic English Breakfast staples, and some rotating specials (eg Kippers) on top of a decent buffet breakfast. Overall, an excellent experience

Dalegarth House is a “BBB” the best bed and breakfast establishment in the lakes. The rooms are all very clean and comfortable, good parking on site and the breakfast out of this world. Claire and Graig are VERY good hosts and have an excellent knowledge of the local area. We will return again to this amazing place.

Dalegarth House is a fantastic place. Craig and Claire are wonderful hosts; they are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the local area. They make you feel at home. It's the perfect place to stay while visiting the Lake District, with Keswick town centre just a short walk away. I loved everything about this B&B! The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are spotless. Claire and Craig are incredibly helpful. Their breakfast is exceptional, and their freshly baked, homemade flapjacks are a treat. Tap into Craig's local knowledge. Based on his recommendations, we discovered some hidden gems. I thoroughly recommend Dalegarth House.
