Warm welcome and great food. Booked for dinner one evening, we’ve been several times before and always stop by when we are in the area. Lovely welcoming staff and great food, very good value for money. Burgers are amazing, as are the fish and chips …. And the sticky toffee pudding is out of this world!

I stayed for just the one night on a recent Scotland roadtrip, and I wish I was there longer. I had a really nice room in the newer building behind the pub, called the Boatshed I believe. Really comfortable, cosy and stylish room! The meal I had on the evening was brilliant, as was the breakfast, and really friendly service throughout my stay, making the effort to ask about my trip plans, etc. I had some time spare before breakfast to have a short wander around, as it was almost dark when I arrived the night before...and what a spot. Really quiet and overlooking the river. Ideal!

This is a treasure of an Inn. It's so charming with beautifully appointed rooms. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful and the food is fabulous. It was probably the best breakfast I had on our trip. I wish we had more time to stay and explore the area.

Amazing lunch here with friends I haven't seen in years. The sharing platters came in very useful! Staff were excellent and very tolerant of our need to sit and chat while everyone else had finished. Of course, a cute attraction is the wee train which chuffs its way round the upper walls. I've been coming here for 40 years on and off and it's always been a favourite.

Stayed here for 3 nights in a really nice room. Unfortunately it had no view, but other than that it was very modern and well set out with parking just outside our door. The restaurant was very nice too, with a good atmosphere and very good food. Breakfasts were superb too. Would certainly stay again and look forward that.

Stayed here for two nights. Absolutely amazing staff. Friendliest and kindest staff you will ever meet. Highest standard of cleanliness throughout. The room was great. Comfy bed, with all facilities needed. Quality of food was top notch. You have to try the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast and the Shin of Beef for dinner. I guarantee you won’t find better. Prices were very, very good. I honestly can’t recommend this Inn enough. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back here. Perfect if you intend to visit Balmoral Castle.

Excellent accommodation, very comfortable beds, we were in a standard twin,no view from window no.4 but very comfortable and nicely decorated room. Had dinner bed and breakfast 2 nights both of which were delicious, would definitely recommend. Lovely staff.

We popped in to the Boat inn on a Sunday lunch time without a booking the staff said they could fit us in the bar as the restaurant was busy which we all preferred. The food All 3 of us had a stater and a main dish The menu had a good range of choices for food, the food was very nice would definitely recommend coming here. The price We found the boat inn a reasonable price for food we paid £108.10 for 3 staters 3 mains and 6 drinks

Went in for lunch and a drink after playing golf locally. Good friendly welcome and food was on all day. Good beers which we were given a taster of. Food was good and a reasonable price. A pleasant way to spend lunch in a nice atmosphere and clean surroundings.
