AUHotel - Zayed International Airport - Inside Transit Restricted area

Nice place to stay especially if you have long wait at the Abu Dhabi airport.

I booked in here for the 6 hour stay option to get a rest during a long layover try and avoid jet lag. The location is very useful and it’s the only hotel available in the transit area. The staff were both pleasant/ competent however I was standing waiting in a queue for 15/20 minutes to check in when I arrived, not what you feel like doing after a long flight at 1 in the morning and when you’ve only got a 6 hour window to sleep. I feel they would definitely benefit from more staff during busier times to avoid this. The room was very clean and had a shampoo/ conditioner, toiletries, complimentary tea and coffee etc. however there were a few minor problems. Firstly there were no batteries in the tv remote so I had to mess around trying to find a way to turn off the tv so I could sleep, again not what you want to be be doing when you come in tired and just want to go straight to bed. They did have English breakfast tea, 😃 however there was no milk to go in the tea or coffee 😣. The bed was very comfortable, the air-con worked well but was very loud. All very nit-picky I know and I wouldn’t usually complain except the fact I was paying the equivalent of 15 pound an hour (and that was with a trip discount) so for that I would expect a bit more.

Perfect as a place to rest between flights. Almost no noise from ouside so very peaceful. Small space and no wardrobe, also the bedside lamps did not work.

The hotel operates on an hourly basis, so it's essential to confirm how long you want to stay—options include 3, 6, or 12 hours. I highly recommend booking for 6 or 12 hours, especially if you have an overnight flight, as booking randomly for 3 hours can end up costing you more. The hotel provides all the necessary services, including food. You can simply scan a QR code to order directly from the menu, and the food arrives at your room neatly packed in boxes. Additionally, right opposite the hotel is the Pearl Lounge, which is a great spot to relax. If you have apps like Trip.com, you can make the most of your stay. Overall, this hotel is a fantastic choice for a quick and comfortable layover at Abu Dhabi Airport!

The location is undeniably practical for travelers, but attention to detail in maintaining the rooms is crucial. Basic aspects such as room cleanliness, refreshed air, and clean towels should always be prioritized. Unfortunately, these elements seemed lacking during my stay. Additionally, the sink in my room was not functioning properly, which was an inconvenience. Given that there are no windows in the rooms, the hotel management could consider installing air purifiers or breezers to ensure a fresher atmosphere. Better sound isolation would also be beneficial, as external noise was quite noticeable and made it difficult to rest. Another issue was the in-room phone with a large, bright display—it was disruptive and made falling asleep more challenging. A simple dimmer or an option to turn it off would be a great improvement. Overall, this hotel has the potential to be an excellent option for transit passengers, but these small yet impactful improvements are needed to truly elevate the guest experience. With more attention to these details, it could become a top choice for travelers seeking comfort during layovers.

The location of the hotel and the quality wasn’t bad but the staff working in aisles was too loud.
