We chose this hotel due to the amazing reviews, and it did not fail. The hotel Is beautiful and clean, staff friendly and tentative. It’s situated on a little hill in a peaceful area. If you are looking for peace and tranquillity you will find it here.

I don't know what to write about this wonderful place, this was the 29th time we've been here, it's just our second home, we love it. Everything is clean Giannis and Nikos are helpful with everything. you shouldn't forget the rest of the team either, kitchen, cleaning and especially pool bar people, they run strong for all guests. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We will be back in 2025 ❤️

Giannis was an incredible host. from the moment we arrived he had already walked down the entranceway to come greet us. the room was beautiful, amazing view from the balcony and was thoroughly cleaned every day. Location was perfect - plenty to do nearby and use as a hub if going slightly further for day trips. The location is close enough to the shops that you're only a short walk away, but without any of the problems of staying on the main road. There is a breakfast buffet option available that we didn't try, but we never felt pressured to buy it and instead found our own alternative. Overall a 5* experience for service, location and value, would definitely return.

(30/08/24 – 09/09/24) We chose this family run hotel after reading some great reviews *ROOM* We were allocated Rooms 16, which was basic with crazy paved floor which my wife didn’t like much, but I didn’t mind. Kitted out with a fridge, kettle, and 2 ring hob. WI-FI is secure with a good signal everywhere. Air con was included 24/7. Balcony have a table + 2x chairs. *STAFF* The staff are excellent, they will do anything possible to make you comfortable and enjoy your stay. *HOTEL GENERAL* We arrived in the afternoon. Maid service was provided every day Really soft double bed + a single bed, really comfortable. Small pool with limited loungers Holiday tax is 15 euros for 10 days, payable on arrival *DINING* Breakfast, snacks, lunch finishes at 3pm. The local village is 20min walk, loads of traditional old style tavernas. *GENERAL* There are very well stocked supermarkets located along the main road, approx. 300M. Also car hire and excursions. The bus service is excellent and reliable. 2 euros to Chania. The local beach is as good as anywhere else. Folia seems popular with the slightly older traveller, especially Northern European.

Our stay here was fantastic. The room was very comfortable. The pool and amenities are very well kept and clean. The view from our room was breathtaking. The hosts are so kind, hospitable and reliable. The proximity of Folia to the amazing beaches and restaurants of the area was superb. The bus stop is very close by so didn’t need a car to see everything we wanted to do. Highly recommend and hope to be back soon!

The most beautiful and authentic hotel in Crete! The hotel is over all impressively clean, the reception, the pool area, the rooms, all of it is always clean and well taken care of. Its an authentic hotel and what you have in mind when you think of and Crete dream vacation. Decorate with a lot of beautiful flower! The food is also fantastic! Breakfast always looks nice and delicate, and you will find a lot of options to eat and something for everyone to select. The lunch is also amazing, god food, the service is fast and you get all you need. The drinks they have in the bar is also made very very good! And I’ll definitely believe they have the best strawberry daiquiri! The staff is super and always happy and polite. You will always feel welcomed and seen wherever you are at the hotel and you meet someone from the staff. The owners are always a pleasure to meet! Two happy faces that always wish you god morning, god day and god night. They have a lot of good tips of where to go to eat and what to se on the island. The hotel is a bit up the hill (but just a small stroll in a few minutes and you are on the beach) but the location of the hotel gives it a fantastic view! We recommend everybody we know to go to folia! So if you are looking for an authentic, quiet, beautiful hotel with nice staff, good owner. God food and drinks, clean rooms and the cleanest pool and pool area in Crete you should definitely visit Folia hotel! I’ll already look forward to my next stay!

I’ve known this beautiful place for 30 years I always come back for a good reason: It feels like home! The Milonakis family welcomes you with great hospitality and with high standards of service and hygiene. The age limit of 12 years and the location in the hills above Agia Marina's main street contributes to calm and relaxed surroundings - perfect for couple holidays or if you just need peace and quiet during your stay, but still want to be close to the village and local shops, restaurants etc. In other words: the best place in town for a perfect holiday in Crete!

Wow what a gem of a hotel! We didn’t want to leave. Spotlessly clean throughout and the friendliest team of staff. Set in beautiful grounds with palm trees and pretty flowers it felt like a special Greek oasis. We were a family of 4 (with 2 teenagers) and booked 2 separate studio apartments. Room: Our room was really cool with the stone floors and air con. Very comfy bed and pillows and beautiful views of the sea from the balcony which we enjoyed evening drinks on. Pool: Again so clean with several sun beds around the pool area. Lovely pool side bar with amazing staff who make great cocktails and really attentive to your requirements. The pool was lovely for cooling down in and also served nice lunchtime snacks like pizza and Greek salad. Breakfast: We were very pleasantly surprised at the variety on offer, so much and laid out really well - fresh fruit salad, pastries, yogurt, eggs, sausages, omelettes, cake, juices and every day there would be some new options. It set us up for the day and is not to be missed. Location: It’s up a couple of hills from the Main Street but that makes it very peaceful (you couldn’t hear any traffic) and allows the beautiful sea views. The beach was less than a 10 minute walk and there’s lots of options for sun loungers around €6-10 for 2 sunbeds and parasol which in our experience is very good value in Europe for a sandy beach with lovely sea conditions, perfect for families and swimming. There are tons of restaurants and beach bars and traditional Greek tavernas around to choose from. Thank you team Folia, you made our summer holiday one to remember.

Such a lovely holiday in Crete. The Folia Apartments are just perfect for a relaxing, peaceful holiday, run by brothers Giannis and Nikos who are so welcoming, always on hand and rightly proud of their apartments. Our seaview room was amazing, the views spectacular, everywhere is spotlessly clean and every single member of staff was so friendly. Do be prepared for the walk back up but it is worth it for the views from the terraces!
