Faedra Beach

It was absolutely a disaster. I was given a room that smelled of mold. I was told there is no other room and had to sleep in my sister and brother in law room. It was resolved after interventions from the travel agency. Terrible food and scarce. The stuff from the kitchen very rude. The manager of the resort told us to move to another resort if we don’t like it. I can go on and on, nothing good about that resort. Also it is very isolated. There are no other places to eat. They monopolized the area. A cross the street there is a restaurant that belongs to the resort too. Only one other restaurant as competition and of course they know it. Very disappointing!

I loved this hotel. It has everything we wanted. Friendly staff at the top of the list who were so accommodating, especially Via who made sure I had oat milk in the mornings for coffee and cereal as I have a dairy allergy and all the kitchen staff who were so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is simple and European style with some Greek options. I loved coming down for breakfast and sitting listening to the waves and all the different nationalities talking around me. The food is typically Greek and very fresh. On the first night we arrived very late due to flight delays but they accommodated us with meatballs and salad. My two teenage kids loved the pool and the simplicity of the hotel and all the water sports on the beach. In terms of anything to improve, it was the simplicity that was so great but just a couple of things: It would be nice to have a single saucepan or frying pan in the kitchenette. There were two stoves in our bedroom but nothing to cook anything with! Would have been great to heat up some baked beans or something simple for my daughter. The other thing is just to have more options at breakfast for those of us who are dairy or gluten free. It would just make it feel more inclusive. There is only shampoo in the room and no conditioner or hand soap. And finally no hair dryer. But we could get by fine without all these things and really hope to come back some day!

I stayed at FAEDRA Beach between 23-29.07. Large, clean room with a direct view of the sea and the hotel pool. The gorgeous view. Friendly staff, good service. The manager and the girls at the reception are extremely kind. The breakfast, included in the accommodation price, was a Swedish buffet. Although there were the same products every day, with very small variations, everything was tasty and well cooked. Food could be ordered both at the restaurant across the street and at the tables by the pool. It was not necessarily cheap, but well cooked and tasty. A Cretan salad somewhere for 12 euros, a moussaka 12 euros, a beer in a 500 ml bottle 5 euros (served in a pint kept on ice, and the beer itself was very cold), a large scoop of ice cream (with chocolate or strawberry topping ) 2.5 euros, a flat water for 500 ml 0.5 euros. For someone who wanted to eat well, healthy, a budget of approx. 50-60 euros/day including lunch, dinner, beer and water for a day is reasonable. The beach is not very wide, but it has fine sand and the entrance to the sea is smooth, and the water is very clean. Sunbeds on the beach are free, but there is a minimum required consumption of 5 euros. The beach is quiet, the waiters at the beach bar move very well, the sunbeds are comfortable. We will definitely come back

We spent the amazing week there. We had very nice spacious comfortable room, always clean. In the restaurant we had tasty traditional meals. I appreciate the home-felt approach of the stuff with everything we needed. We enjoyed in the morning a view on the adjacent rocks and in the evening illuminated by the setting sun to red like in the painting. We made several trips (to Chrissi island, Elounda, Sitia or The Knossoss palace) so I consider driving distance to anywhere we needed as fine. The overall impression of the hotel is fantastic. Am petrecut o săptămână de vacanță excelentă la Faedra Beach, un hotel cochet la câțiva metri de plajă. Plaja este frumoasă, cu nisip fin și intrare lină în apă, marea fiind cristalină și fără valuri. Dispune de o terasă pe plajă unde îți poți servi cina într-un cadru foarte romantic. M-a impresionat curtea interioară a acestui hotel, o curte cu palmieri, smochini, lămâi și alte plante mediteraneene, oferindu-ți o senzație de paradis. Mai dispune de o piscină șic, mereu curată și atrăgătoare. Personalul hotelului este foarte amabil, permanent receptiv la doleanțele turiștilor. Aduc mulțumiri în mod deosebit domnului Ovidiu, administrator al acestui hotel, un clujean de nădejde și cu inimă mare. Doamna Elisabeta, soția dumnealui, est o femeie foarte amabilă și foarte atentă la detaliile ce țin de imaginea hotelului. Bucătăria acestui hotel este foarte diversificată și bogată, cu specific grecesc. Micul dejun de tip bufet suedez, este foarte variat, putând satisface toate gusturile. Mulțumim bucătarului și pentru că ne-a răsfățat cu minunatele prăjituri, atât la micul dejun cât și la cină. Patronul este mereu atent, stătea de vorbă cu fiecare turist, fiind foarte implicat în calitatea serviciilor. Ne dorim ca și la anul să revenim. Îl recomandam cu toată inima.

Great hotel, in a quiet location close to Agios Nikolaos. Stayed here with my wife (we are late 40s & 50) and parents (who are in their 80s). This is a great little hotel and the staff make it. The food is excellent and served in a beautiful setting overlooking the beautiful sandy beach and crystal blue sea. The staff really looked after us and went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible! Yamas!
