Vasia Ormos Hotel (Adults Only)

The food was a let down mostly cold and not to a good standard - husband had food poisoning! Do not recommend eating at this hotel

This was an easyJet holiday and we had read mixed reviews so wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. The hotel itself is a little bit out of the way but we liked that. It views are stunning of the bay and the hotel is very clean and well looked after. I have stayed in lots of hotels in Greece and the Greek Islands and it is one of the best. The staff were lovely. We had a slight issue and the manager Demetrius couldn’t have been nicer and rectified it straight away. They were great with advice, recommended trips and restaurants. Always on hand if needed. Breakfast was sumptuous and there was something for everyone. This is an amazing hotel if (like us) you want to relax and unwind. I would happily return and would even come by myself. There is lots on offer but no push to take things up. It just struck the right tone. There are two pools with seating areas and there are superior sun beds with lots of space. Thank you Demetrius and team at the Vasia. We very much hope to see you again (leave tomorrow)

Lovely hotel, small and friendly and the staff were great. Breakfast was everything you could want. Rooms were a little small and not a great deal of storage space, but that's not the end of the world. Around the pool areas was a bit atmospherically dead, it could do with some music piping through like it did around the bar area - a small table between the sunbeds would be a nice touch. Just up the road was a little taverna, Stravros. Its alright, the owner got on my nerves a bit saying lovely jubbly all the time. There is also another restaurant going into town, 5 mins from the hotel, Kri-Kri , lovely food, great gyros. Sports bar next door, The Gallery, good pint, not a rowdy sports bar, we went up to watch F1 - opens at 2pm. Ag Nik was a lovely place, a longer walk in that we anticipated, a good 25 mins, 8Euros in a taxi. Most places closed around 10.30pm. A couple of bays with some lovely restaurants. Amoodi Beach was lovely, 15 mins walk into Ag Nik. 20Euros for 2 beds and an umbrella, beautiful blue see and the beach bar served great food and had a great admospher - well worth the visit. The beach outside the hotel isn't great. All in all had a fabulous holiday

The hotel in itself was very acceptable Clean and tidy with friendly staff and reception. Our room was cleaned and bed made every day with a flower laid on it . Two bars (one pool bar). Great location for our needs and excellent Taxi service at the door .The taxis are immaculate and very reasonable cost. Rooms are small and basic but meet the needs for a week. We stayed in 108 which had a constant irritating background noise which would build up to a crescendo every few minutes. To tired at the end of the day to here it at night luckily. Would i stay here again Yes just not room 108.

It’s ok. Some pros and cons as with most. Lovely staff. Clean. Nice location but maybe 30min walk to AN. which we didn’t mind in fact preferred. Pool area nice I don’t know why someone wouldn’t find a subbed I’m sat her now at 8.30 and every one is available. It’s lovely and quiet. So cons are: Rooms are bit tired and not many places to put stuff and small. Food is Lacking in choice and standard. It’s ok but just ok and compared to other like for like hols it scores low. A few buzzing noises when sleeping at night and don’t think about a lay in after 8am if house keeping are turning rooms. I get they got to clean but Literally shouting and slamming toilet seat. Luckily I’m an early riser! Rooms turned over nice and clean every day. Be prepared to walk or taxi because there is not much around this hotel just couple of eating places. No good for swimming in the bay either you need to walk to amoodi round corner 10 mins.

We stayed here for a week, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were spacious and the cleaners were absolutely fantastic, the rooms were cleaned every day to a high standard. The 2 pools are on the smaller side but very quiet with plenty of sunbeds available. The hotel is located a 25 minute stroll from the town centre, enjoyable in the evening but would be tough during the heat of the day. Taxis are available from receptions, and cost about 7/8 euro each way. There is a large shop a 5 minute walk away that had everything we needed. The beach attached to the hotel was small and quiet, with plenty of sunbeds available. We rented a car out through the hotel, and this was an easy process that didn't require a deposit, we would highly recommend. The breakfast buffet was great, with plenty of options. However, we were disappointed with the dinner buffet options. We ate here on the first night and didn't enjoy the food, so instead opted to walk into town and eat dinner at the tavernas here instead. The snack bar at the pool is also very expensive, 7 euros for a small domestic beer, and 16 euros for a basic sandwich. We would recommend buying drinks and food from the local shop, as there is a fridge in the room. The staff we incredibly friendly and helpful, we can't fault them. We would definitely stay here again. One of our favourite parts of our trip was a tour of the olive oil farm located 10 minutes from the hotel, which was only 7 euro per person, and included a tasting of the products. Overall, we would recommend this hotel highly, but we suggest opting for the bed and breakfast option, and exploring the local restaurants instead.
