B&B Villa San Marco

This place is simply magical. Set at the perimeter of valley of the temples, it looks out on the park with a view of the temples from the terraces. When they are lit up at night the view will take your breath away. We absolutely loved this BandB. We loved our hosts and the setting and the animals and had the best breakfast some of us had ever had at a BandB. There were 7 of us and we were all completely charmed. One night Salvatore, one of the sons, graciously drove us to a great restaurant nearby, the second night we ordered pizza and sat on the terrace looking at the temples. They have a selection of wines and beer you can purchase. Not only will we be back but we also hope that Salvatore will visit us someday!

Quirky family run b and b very close to valley of the temples. If you like to walk, you can walk there. The accommodation is down a narrow dirt track and we did meet cars every time, but the locals tend to reverse to let you go forward. The accommodation is rural and has animals but wasn't overly noisy. The pool area was busy - although this is probably not somewhere you would stay to sit by a pool! The owners were friendly and very helpful.

We stayed at the B&B for 6 days. The family was very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious! The views of the temples during the day and night are absolutely breathtaking. The property is stunning and the rooms are comfortable. The owners really thought of everything. Our favorite part were the peacocks. They were everywhere and they were gorgeous. One even had two chicks. The location is conveniently located near the Agrigento town center and temple valley. This is a place we will definitely have to visit again.

This wonderful, family – owned B&B has everything you want… Location (near Valley of the Temples), peace and quiet as it is in a secluded place but close enough to town… And most importantly, it had the best food that we have had in all seven weeks in Italy… I have to commend the chef for what was an incredible five course meal for a very reasonable price… I would highly recommend this B&B if you are an in Sicily… Make sure that you order the dinner…

Quirky B&B with the best breakfast we have ever had during any European stay. Lots of home made goodies sitting on a terrace with a view over to the temples. We had a two roomed apartment, which was comfortable and clean. Great instructions sent giving directions and a warm greeting upon arrival. Made to feel very at home with the family who live in the main house. Lots of animals roaming about, but all very friendly. We only stayed one night but would have loved to have stayed longer.

Our stay at Villa San Marco was incredible. Vincenzo and his family have created a magical, inviting oasis that gave us a beautiful experience of Sicilian culture. The buildings were part of a 19th century homestead and have been beautifully decorated in Sicilian and family style. The grounds are landscaped with Mediterranean vegetation. There are farm animals and friendly dogs to greet you. Breakfast is generous and served on the terrace overlooking the temples. The Villa is on the grounds of the temple park and feels very removed from the hustle bustle of Agrigento itself. Be forewarned, the stretch of road to get to the Villa is dirt and rocky, but it is worth the drive. We would recommend any visitor to Agrigento wanting a true Sicilian experience to stay for a few days.
