B&B Triskéles

This place has one of the most luxurious and tasteful bedrooms we have ever stayed in - massive circular bed, and original artwork on the walls, with a well-appointed modern bathroom. And it's very quiet. The location is ideal, in the most upmarket street in Agrigento, with a view from the roof terrace - where you have breakfast - out over to the temples and the sea. It's an easy walk into the old town, which is well worth a visit. When we arrived, we were surprised to find B&B Triskeles is actually the top floor of an up-market apartment block (there's a small lift). The benefit is the terrific view from the terrace. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful. They don't speak any English, but are used to dealing with non-Italian-speakers. Breakfast is modern Italian style: fruit, biscuits, cake, cheese, yoghurt, criossants, coffee/tea... Don't expect cereal or anything cooked. It was no problem to find a space to park in the street but, as usual in Italy, care is required to avoid chargeable spaces (blue outline) or any with special reservations.

Such a special home. Definitely recommend a visit. Superb room, facilities. Brilliant views and breakfast and a charming family. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Our stay will be one of our cherished memories of Sicily.

Quando varchi la soglia della porta d’ingresso, vieni subito avvolto da una accoglienza talmente impeccabile che pensi di essere in un hotel a 5 stelle e al tempo stesso di riabbracciare parenti che non vedevi da tempo. I signori Moncada amano mettere a proprio agio i loro ospiti e con estrema professionalità e gran calore umano offrono un servizio curato in ogni piccolo particolare. Le stanze, impeccabili, grandi e dotate di ogni comfort. Dal balcone, con due sedie e un tavolino, si può ammirare la costa agrigentina e il suo mare meraviglioso. La colazione, su una bellissima terrazza al quinto piano dotata di una vista mozzafiato, è come quella di un hotel di lusso, ricca di prelibatezze dolci o salate che provengono dal territorio. È stata una esperienza di viaggio per lavoro tra le migliori che abbia mai vissuto, in tutti questi anni e consiglio a chiunque si trovi a passare da Agrigento, anche solo per una notte, di prenotare e viverla in prima persona.
