Well the second time, we have stayed at this Amazing hotel, all inclusive board , did not disappoint, ski in and out conditions were superb, all be it a bit icy on two mornings, which the hotel warned us about, however fresh snow fall sorted this out, the lift passes and ski hire were explained to us by Evan, and this went without any fuss, although 2 hours after getting lift pass, my son lost his ! now on to the hotel well absolutely fantastic, from the moment we entered the reception we were greeted with a very warm smile and welcome from Evan and Gulia two superb members of staff, who work very hard ! Along with the head manager Maxinne who forever had a smile on his face , the restaurant staff were constantly keeping on top of tables clearing and cleaning to immaculately conditions very, very clean the food was good with plenty of variety ( breakfast we would have loved fried eggs and beans ) however probably not suited to the majority of European travellers ! , the rooms were also kept immaculate due to the very hard working maids , the rest area / seating/ bar area was kept very tidy , although there was a couple of nights when people reserved coats on chairs whilst they were dining, I soon sorted this out by removing coats and scarfs from the chairs in question and deposited into reception ( this had no reflection on the hotel staff , who were unaware of this practice) Weather conditions were excellent and we did some fantastic skiing , this is a massive THANK,YOU to every member of staff at the La, Lauziere hotel, having helpful pleasant staff certainly makes the vacation enjoyable, I can not put into words how grateful as a family this hotel made to our holiday , would we Stay again YOU BET !!! Sowell Hotel is a true paradise on the mountain! The convenience of ski-in/ski-out access makes it perfect for any ski enthusiast. The all-inclusive dining experience was exceptional—delicious food and absolutely flawless desserts that were a treat every single day. One standout feature is the ability to take lunch boxes with you to the slopes, ensuring you’re well-fueled for your adventures. And the included drinks and cocktails? Simply fantastic! From start to finish, this hotel exceeded all my expectations. Highly recommended for a perfect mountain getaway!

Staff: This hotel’s best feature is its excellent staff. The waiters and waitresses as well as the bar and reception staff work very hard. Always polite, kind and helpful. Food: Exceeded our expectations. Very good variety - and lots of choice with salad and veg - which isn’t always the case with all inclusive. The rooms are very basic and tiny without enough places to hang damp clothes or dry damp gloves and boots - same as many other ski hotels in the alps. Although quite cosy, they are quite tired and need an update. Marks and scuffs on walls, broken fixtures /fittings (lamp shades…) The rooms don’t match the price-tag.. but again, the price is fairly consistent with other hotels in the area at a peak Xmas holiday time. Ski rental shop in the hotel - definitely a bonus! Ski-in ski out is possible from 6th floor ski-locker room, but definitely not for beginners! Steep ski back to the hotel. Possible but not easy. Bus available though. Ski storage: cold and no dryers. Boots were damp every morning. Would be nice to have a more pleasant, heated ski locker room. Would we book this hotel again? Yes. Overall a nice hotel. We’ve stayed at better and stayed at worse. Friendly place with excellent staff, convenient location and good food.

The hotel was lovely. Food excellent. Montalbert is beautiful. The showers were luke warm, several other rooms had the same issue. Twenty euros went missing from our bedroom - there were safes in the room but we didn't use them, felt really let down that that happened to us.

This hotel is great value. The food is of a very high standard. So much choice and different every day. You will never go hungry! The all.inclusive option is great, especially the good choice for making a packed lunch (bring own drink for packed lunch, as this isn't provided). But drinks whilst you are in the hotel are. Rooms were clean and adequate, although our balcony was more like half size(611) the other rooms seemed to have better balconys. Beds very comfy. You could just about ski in and ski out(walk 5 mins up hill to join piste). Be aware that Montalbert is isolated from the rest of La Plagne after the ski lifts shut (at about 5pm). Also getting to Plagne centre is tricky if you are a beginner skier. The free bus advertised does not link.montalbert to the rest of La Plagne and is about 45 min drive. However, if you can ski you can get across to the main skiing area within 30 mins.
