Golden Tulip Aix les Bains - Hotel & Spa

Tout etait parfait.

Les chambres standard sont très bien et spacieuses et l'hotel très bien. Cependant avec ces chambres "standard" (246 euros la nuit) nous n'avons pas accès à la piscine (qui fait partie de l'espace détente SPA). Pour 18 euros par jour, l'accès est possible de 19h30 à 23 h !!!! Il faut prendre des suites pour avoir accès à la piscine. Cette information n'est pas claire sur le site de l'hotel et si nous avions compris ce détail nous n'aurions pas réservé une chambre dans cet hotel, mais dans un hotel moins cher ou nous aurions trouvé le même confort. Bon petit déjeuner mais sauf erreur les pancakes et crepes ne sont pas fait maison, décevant ! Un peu déçue malgré tout et ce serait intéressant que l'hotel donne les informations "piscine" plus clairement sur leur site, car nous avons entendu des clients qui ont connu la même surprise !

Hotel très propre avec un spa contenant des installation de très bonne qualité

We arrived late, about midnight. They had everything ready, we only signed the paper and went to the bedroom. There is a water fountain close to the lift in every floor where you can fill the water bottles they leave in the room. The room is big, comfortable, with a great coffee machine. The bathroom mirror did not get blurry by the moisture which is really a 5-star hotel feature. There was also two ropes in the room and plenty of towels. The spa was good, maybe a bit small, but open from 07:30 to 23:30 which is great to relax before or after a long day of work. Breakfast was good and fair. If I could suggest something to improve would be the lightning in the bedroom. It is either way too much or too little.

The hotel was good, but the restaurant was a joke... they could not prepare good quality food, were completely unimaginative about the special orders (for dietary restrictions), the waiting staff were tardy and missed serving people. Had to remind them multiple times. All in all, the French Cuisine got a bad name from this restaurant!

The hotel is situated in a prime location, as it is 3 minutes walk to the train station, and just next to the ****** and amphitheater, in addition that it is close to the main roads, shops and restaurants in the Centre of Aix Les-Bains. I stayed in a newly renovated suite in the 3rd floor, excellent bedding and pillows, the shower is so lovely and the room service was great. While I was visiting a friend in the town, he booked me a massage in the 1st day there, and that was really needed after my last night flight, an excellent massage which I highly recommend if you are in the area. The spa area is another fantastic place at floor -1, and you can tell that the owner of the hotel is very innovative and clever because I have never seen anything like it before, I had so much fun there, and I also did the zero gravity pool where you laydown on the extremely salty water full of different minerals and you just float for one hour, or even have a little nap if you wish, as the lady who took me there gave me explanation about every little detail in the pool room, thank you so much. The breakfast is excellent as you have what you need and more for the day ahead, so you have sections for cereal, yoghurt, fruit, juice, tea & coffee in addition to the eggs, sausage bacon etc. I was honored to meet the owner Mr. Jean Sebastien and his lovely wife, and congratulated both of them on the success of the hotel, and turned out to be that they have another hotel and restaurant, so it is a very well deserved success which came out of long experience and hard work. Thank you to all the staff working in the hotel and I wish you all the best in future.

The hotel is located in the center of town, I walked to the ******, the market and the main streets with shops and restaurants. My room was on the 3rd floor and has been recently renovated. Ample space with a seating area, good size closet for a week vacation, and view overlooking a courtyard with a fountain. Benjamin at the Front Desk was very professional and friendly, he was kind and provided a great explanation of services at check-in. I requested an iron and board and it was delivered promptly. Separate shower/sink from toilet. Coffee maker and mini fridge, Marshall speaker to pair your own device. Great wifi (complimentary) reception in my room. The only suggestion I have is to add one more trash can in the room, there is only a small one in the bathroom. I definitely recommend this hotel for your time in Aix-les-Bains.

This is an urban hotel perfect for travelling salesmen or business people who don't expect much from their room. Breakfast was fine, with friendly staff. Room windows were stained and dirty. We were charged extra for takinug our food into our room (a cost which hadn't been indicated in advance)
