Aquatech Villas DeRosa Resort

Excelente lugar para descansar, desconectar y estar en contacto con la naturaleza. El hotel se encuentra en una zona apartada, y las habitaciones son suites perfectamente equipadas con todo lo necesario. Por ello, si no se dispone de coche, hay que llegar con todas las provisiones, pues no hay dónde comprar cerca. El AC solo está en las habitaciones. La playa está directamente afuera del edificio y es un auténtico paraíso. Las instalaciones son modestas pero suficientemente equipadas. Dispones de kayaks y material deportivo. El dueño es super amable y siempre a disposición para lo que se necesite. Hay un bar/restaurante justo a un lado (sólo acepta efectivo).

What a spectacular place to stay! Tony is so knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. The room was very comfortable - we could walk out to the beach! Air conditioners in the rooms work very well. Food was great! Price was very reasonable. Housekeeping came every day and she did a great job. Tony helped us arrange all our transportation and everything we wanted to see. It was a great stay.

I came across this property several years back while traveling with my friend Terry to see some. WSP concerts. We found the property by chance on line. I have been very fortunate to return on multiple occassions since then. I now consider it my Mexican SANCTUARY. What a jwewl of a location in Akumal. Pristine sugar like white sand beach. Ocean front fully furnished, complete with pool, kitchen and ac (although I prefer to leave doors open and enjoy the ocean breeze).The view is spectacular. The owner operators are 2 of the sweetest people I've had the pleasure to meet and blessed to call them friends. Tony is laid back, friendly, kind and cordial host. His partner Sam is simply a doll. Little shy primarily works in the back office Just a Queen if you have the pleasure to get to know her. They are very attentive to the guests needs and questions. You can prepare you own meals or oder from the amazing chef onsite delivered to your villa. Tony is a wealth of information for scuba, activities, dining & shopping suggestions. I find great value in this vacation spot. Sitting on the lounge chairs in the sun under a palapa on the beach is hard to beat. There's a cool little bar next door that serves food as well. I highly recommend ❤️❤️

I cannot say enough great things about Villas DeRosa! We visit the same week every year for 10+ years & counting. It is our home away from home! The view is spectacular & the accommodations outstanding. Tony is most helpful, Javier is top-notch with all of the meals & the all of the staff works to make our stay a great experience!

We LOVED our stay here. Spectacular view right on one of the best, most enjoyable beaches in the esteemed Akumal area. STUNNING!!! Our 2nd floor single bedroom has a GIGANTIC balcony flanked with comfy built-in bench couches and a nice picnic table. Pretty dreamy. The living area is ENORMOUS and well appointed with an additional, large and comfy built-in L-shaped couch. Our Prime / fire stick didn’t work on the TV, but - be real, we didn’t come here to watch TV! The kitchen was well designed with it’s large counter top bar was super functional GREAT SERVICE!!! TONY is an absolute JEWEL!!! I cannot overstate the high level of warmth and care that he and his staff provide, non-stop. They work very hard and it’s obvious what a difference it made. They made the experience magical. The room service food is… kind of meh. Forget about pizza, you’re in Mexico after all. The chef salad was also questionable. The adjacent Beached Bikini bar has wonderful food and ingenious drinks, but the pricing is through the roof. Our only real negative was the lack of air conditioning (or even fans) in the main living area. This made it stifling even with the doors open. Then, the jungle mosquitos would come into play. The bedroom air conditioning was an oasis for sleeping - except the ceiling fan was very noisy to sleep with, so it had to stay off. We left one day early when rain storm took out the power. With no AC, it was simply unbearable. This was no fault of Villa Rosa at all. Our feeble New England bodies just couldn’t adjust. So we headed to Playa Del Carmen a day early. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Villa De Rosa, despite the AC issue. It is a treasure for reasonably priced destinations and look forward to our next visit there!!

This small, family owned resort is gorgeous. It’s tiny, so if you’re looking for tons of different types of cuisine and night life- this isn’t the place for you (I was in bed by 9pm on two nights of my trip…my dream come true). I felt safe the entire time I was on property and at the beach bar. The food they offer is AMAZING (seriously dreaming of that lime-tortilla soup), the beach bar right next door also has some food options. It was all freshly prepared and delivered to our room or the beach for us! Tony & crew were SO accommodating!! The beach bar has amazing drinks as well (one too many “Dirty Monkeys” did lead to the best beach nap ever) & it the views are GORGEOUS!!! I had a pool facing room, and my parent had a beach facing condo and I enjoyed both. The rooms are cold, showers are hot, & the beds are clean. There’s some things as far as the rooms go that aren’t five star (zebra sheets are weird, there’s some mineralization on the faucets & shower)- but you’re in the jungle & on a beach so that constant humidity provides some wear and tear. The things that mattered (clean, cold A/C, Hot shower) were all there. There was also smart TVs in the rooms and strong wifi. And I slept like a rock on my king sized bed. I had read some prior reviews about the “king sized beds” being 2 twin mattresses put together but I was pleasantly surprised to find that we all had king sized mattresses. I only wore shoes for like 5% of my entire vacation!! I had a FABULOUS time & will return year after year. Also- if you walk down the beach about 200 yard there’s beach side massages- best massage of my life. I’m sitting at home trying to figure out how to quit my job, sell my belongings and move to Villas De Rosa- that’s how much I loved it!!

We , family of 6, rented 3 bedroom with ocean view . We liked absolutely everything about the resort . Service, location, ocean . You can order food right by texting Tony, the amazing host, and get food in 25 min. Also, there is a beach bar with food and drinks right on next door . We would definitely come back. Thank you , Tony for such an amazing treatment .

Just a wonderful gem. Beach access...not rocky. Great snorkeling. Close to Akumal Bay. Tony the owner is the nicest guy you could ever meet and just makes you feel so welcome. Beach bar/grill right next door. I stayed 2 nights before I joined a wedding at one of the resorts nearby. I was longing to go back and just enjoy the low key life at Villas de Rosa. I will be back. Thanks Tony.
