Luxor Guest House

I have travelled more than 25 countries and I have to say that Ahmet was one of the best hosts! Always very helpful and attentive from early in the morning till late in the evening! We arrived early in the morning 2:30am and he was waiting for us! He recommended the safest places to go and he organized every single tour for us. Luxor guesthouse on the west bank of Nile in luxor,a property owned by Mr Ahmad Galal, is cosy place with reasonable rates and with good view of Nile . They have a good restaurant on the top which serves food and juices at reasonable rates. The staff are very helpful, guesthouse is neat and has a swimming pool. Mr Ahmad is a helpful person in organising tours . We stayed 2 nights there and had a pleasant stay there. It can also be booked through Airbnb.

To be honest it was really cheap so I didn't expect too much, and I booked it through AirBNB to... This only applies to the apartment I had inside on the ground floor next to the office... The decorations were fair enough but it could have done with a bit more furniture, a bedside table would have been nice, and maybe a small fridge as well?? It was very cold at night s while I was staying there so I needed an extra fleecy blanket which was there for the asking. I did ask about the ''kitchen'' before I arrived but was a bit surprised to find it was only a marble bench with a sink!! I went out and bought my own kettle, no doubt it will come in handy at some time in the future. Very convenient for the ferry and all the local entertainment Staff very friendly although none too efficient when it comes to cleaning the room, as is normal you ask when you want it cleaned and change of linen, but you shouldn't have to ask four days in a row. There is a washing machine out in the garden which is handy... The bed was surprisingly comfortable considering the alarming noises that came from the springs! They really need to do something about the daily smell of sewage that pervades the ground floor... The WiFi is always there but whether there is actually an internet connection t the other end of it is another matter.... A bit annoying when you are trying to do an online study course... Breakfast is served on the roof, it is a basic breakfast without any variation really so you wouldn't want it every day! Would I stay again?? Probably...

Nice calm place right by the Nile on the West Bank in Luxor. Good sized room with a comfortable bed. Great view of the Nile from the terrace. Perfect to relax while having a delicious breakfast or lunch. Mr Ahmed is always at hand to show you around and his tour bookings were all of good quality. When there was some car trouble on one of the transfers that he booked for me, he was constantly in touch with the driver to make sure I reach my destination without any inconvenience. His nephews are always available to cook a delicious Egyptian meal or to ferry you across the Nile to the East Bank.

Burası Luxor da Nil nehrinin karşı yakasında bir otel.Otelin sahibi sevgili Nasser olsun,çalışan diğer elemanlar olsun harika insanlar.Her türlü sorununuzda hemen çözüm üretiyorlar ve çok ilgililer.Kahvaltı olsun,odalar olsun,her bakımdan yeterli ve güzel.Otel karşı kıyıda olmasına rağmen her 15 dakikada bir "public ferry" dedikleri tekneler karşılıklı gidip geliyor.Bu bakımdan karşı kıyıda konaklamak çok kolay ve güzel,ayrıca daha hesaplı,kesinlikle tereddüt etmeyin ve Luxor Guest House'da rezervasyon yapın.

Nous avons contacté la Guest House avant notre arrivée à Luxor et le personnel a organisé notre transfert en taxi et en bateau (pour passer sur la rive ouest). Parfaitement placée, la Guest House a une terrasse avec vue sur le Nil, des ATM à proximité et quelques restaurants. Le personnel est réellement à l’écoute, avec l’un des membres qui parle un français clair, ils nous ont proposé plusieurs circuits de visites en se basant sur celles que nous voulions faire, ils nous ont donné de nombreux conseils, proposé un tour en montgolfière au levé de soleil (pour 40€ par personne!). Ils sont régulièrement disponibles pour préparer à manger sans être oppressants. Nous voulions aller au temple de Abu Simbel et nous leur avons demandé s’ils avaient une solution pour nous. En 20 minutes (peut être moins), ils nous ont organisé un voyage complet : un taxi jusqu’à la gare de Luxor, deux billets de train en 1ère classe aller-retour Luxor-Aswan, une Guest House à Aswan, un taxi jusqu’au temple le lendemain matin, et un itinéraire complet pour revenir à la Guest House (de Luxor), le tout pour une centaine d’euros (2000 livres) par personne (hors billet du temple, et autres éventuelles dépenses) ! La chambre qui nous a été attribuée était climatisée et ventilée, avec une cuisine fonctionnelle, une salle de bain propre et un service de repas en chambre si vous ne souhaitez pas manger sur la terrasse. La piscine est propre et la Guest House l’est aussi. Le personnel est réellement très agréable et si vous passez à Luxor, il n’y a pas mieux pour se loger !
