The Capaldi Hotel, Restaurant & Spa

It’s a 45 minute drive to the Capaldi hotel in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. We hired a car for the week - but driving in Morocco is not for the faint hearted - it added to our experience. There are easy transfers and trips out from the hotel available if you want this. From the moment we arrived we were impressed. All the staff are helpful, polite and made the whole stay effortless. We were welcomed and shown to an upgraded garden suite - with outside terrace, rooftop terrace, large bedroom and dressing area with shower, bath, twin sinks and a separate toilet. The whole site is well thought out and beautifully maintained. We were positioned between the smaller heated swimming pool and the larger unheated pool. We were welcomed with a drink in the restaurant and sat outside every evening for our evening meal. We stayed for seven nights and every night the menu changed with a good choice of delicious starters, mains and desserts. We thoroughly enjoyed every meal and there were a wide range of delicious wines on offer chosen by the owner Ed. Carole the hotel manager was truly a wonderful lady - she was so friendly and bent over backwards to give advice on trips out, sorting out a golf reservation for my husband in Marrakesh and sorting out an afternoon in the onsite cinema to watch the final Newcastle United match of the season. Both pools were lovely and there wereso many places to sit and relax around the site in the shade, with a drink or lying by the pool. The onsite spa was fabulous too. My husband and I both had three treatments over the time we stayed. The traditional Hammam massage is not something I have ever experienced before and it was invigorating and left my skin amazingly soft. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for something different. We also went for a trek in the lower hills of the Atlas Mountains with a guide and had a traditional Moroccan lunch in a local village made by a lovely lady. It was a very interesting way to experience and learn about Moroccan culture and life first hand. Ed the owner of the Capaldi hotel came around each evening to chat to the guests and made us feel very welcome. It was truly a luxurious oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh and I left feeling relaxed and I highly recommend a stay at the Capaldi Hotel, everything about it was magical - thank you!

The Capaldi got everything right! Carol and her team went above and beyond and no ask was too much trouble for them. The hotel setting itself is magical with a view of the snow capped high Atlas Mountains and proximity to Marrakech, the lake and the desert. Our room had an open fire, which was lit for us every evening after dinner, and plenty of outside space for us to sit and relax. Special mention to the cinema room, which we had to ourselves and enjoyed on an off-chance rainy day. If you want peace and tranquility and are looking to be very well looked after, the Capaldi Hotel fits the bill perfectly! We were so happy with our stay that we have already booked our return!

We stayed at the Capaldi Hotel for a couple of days at the end of our Morocco trip and booked a suite with a private pool as a surprise for our son. Having experienced many beautiful resorts, we can confidently say that Capaldi is truly one of the best. The premises are stunning and impeccably maintained, offering everything you could want—pools, a library, a cinema, a shop, massage services, and more. The facilities were always spotless, and the atmosphere was serene. The staff were consistently polite and helpful, but special mention must go to the manager, Carole, who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Whatever we needed, Carole was always there to assist. She made our son’s 16th birthday dinner particularly memorable by organizing a beautifully decorated table and even surprising us with a cake. Another thoughtful gesture was allowing us to check out late at no extra cost, as the room was available on our departure day. This level of care and flexibility truly sets Capaldi apart from the rest. As Carole said, "Once you're at Capaldi, you're part of the Capaldi family." We wholeheartedly agree and can’t wait to return. Thank you to everyone at Capaldi for making our stay so special!
