Authentic experience, no frills to distract from the beautiful location. Sustainable: solar panels to pump water from his own well deep under the ground. The water is used for the bathroom facilities in the camp. The owner also shares the water with local camel farmers, so their camels can drink.

A truly authentic desert experience wrapped in Omani hospitality. The tents are comfortable with solar lights and mozzie nets just in case - although we experienced none. Each tent has its own open air bathroom which is extremely clean and also each tent has a little outdoor seating area - a nice touch. The camp sits at the base of the largest dune in the area and offers shade but also the challenge of climbing to see sunset and sunrise. Meals are good and food is plentiful. What makes this camp stand out is the Omani owner's engagement with his guests (perfect English), his concern for their comfort and expectations and his obvious care of the environment. Dune bashing, camel rides and star gazing are available but no hard sell. Sitting round the fire after dinner with new friends was special. There were no highlights - it was all wonderful. This desert experience was the highlight of our trip to Oman and exceeded all expectations! The camp is located in a remote location at the base of the highest dune in this part of the desert The bedoin style tents are both perfectly suited to the environment and very comfortable. The food was ample and well prepared. The dune driving experience was remarkable as was the camel ride. But what made this experience even more exceptional was the owner and host. This camp is owned and run by a man who is indigenous to the area. And he speaks perfect English! His generous spirit and warmth were very special indeed!

We stayed with our family of 4 and had a great time. The experience was magical. The camp was surrounded by large majestic dunes in an isolated area of the desert. The host and other guests were very friendly which made for a great atmosphere in the camp. This stay made for a unique, relaxing and fun time !

We were two couples, from Germany and USA looking for a desert experience. We were not disappointed. The location is incredible and the camp sites are well designed and comfortable. Homed provided us with warm hospitality, a good meal, a beautiful sunset hike and stargazing afterwards. The beds were comfortable and clean. Very quiet. No bugs and bathrooms good. In the morning a sunrise hike and a filling breakfast fallowed by camel rides. Everything was according to plan and price. Not about luxury or sitting around staring at phones. We would definitely do it again and stay longer. A good trip would be two nights with a day trip to Wadi Bani Khalid for swimming in the heat of the day. So highly recommended and many thanks to Homed and his capable staff.

Ho prenotato su booking 5 tende mezza pensione insieme alla cammellata e al dune-bashing. Purtroppo il livello dell'accappamento e dell'organizzazione è scadente per il costo. Noi eravamo 10 e loro avevano solo 7 cammelli peraltro il giro durava solo 20 minuti ed è stato patetico rispetto al costo di 25 euro. L'unica nota positiva è stata la cena (per questo metto due stelline). Infine, eravamo vicino una strada dove passavano in continuazione jeep

Campamento con encanto y anfitrión super agradable! Disfrutamos mucho d la estancia, del silencio del desierto, d la cena y desayuno incluido, de bajar corriendo por las dunas o ver atardecer y amanecer desde encima d una duna y del paseo en camello por la mañana Las tiendas son comodas y tienen baño /ducha al lado pero solo para ti , muy limpio y nuevo Nos encantó!

Muy atento el manager, hasta nos llevo y espero en dos oficinas de telefonia celular para que nos solucionen un tema de chip bloqueado. Una experiencia inolvidable. Atencion y servicios de acuerdo a lo prometido. Recomendado. Naturaleza.

Une douzaine de tentes, chacune disposant de son petit cabinet de toilette en dur, à ciel ouvert. Confort simple mais suffisant. Le camp est à 30 mn de piste de la route nationale à Al Wasil (4x4 nécessaire ou transfert a organiser avec le propriétaire) La localisation est parfaite, au pied d'une magnifique dune de sable ocre, à gravir en 20 mn pour profiter du coucher du soleil. Accueil sympathique du propriétaire (omanais) mais mutisme absolu des employés (indiens) en charge de l'entretien et des repas. Le filet d'eau qui sort de la douche ne contribuera pas à la désertification de la planète, d'autant plus que l'eau chaude est...froide. Le sol de la tente est couvert de tapis, le lit est équipé d'une moustiquaire et une petite lampe assure un éclairage parcimonieux. Mais la beauté de l'endroit invite à l'indulgence. Pas de WiFi mais réseau 4G disponible. Repas buffets simples mais bons. Activités payantes possibles (Dromadaire, 4x4 tour) Si vous avez votre véhicule, nous recommandons d'y passer 2 nuits (avec excursion au très beau Wadi Bani Khalid le lendemain) et/ou un tour en dromadaire. Un camp de petite taille qui offre un confort simple dans un endroit magnifique.
