Located right outside of the city, this hotel had all the amenities expected. Did not have any issues, and enjoyed the stay. Would recommend!

Our check in went well. Beds were comfortable. Free hot buffet breakfast was non existent. Becky Robinson who claimed to be a manager was extremely rude, after my husband asked for a later checkout as advertised. She pounded on our door stating she called her boss and had a number for me. I spoke to her boss Melinda who I relayed the lack of training for her staff. As if they were busy and unable to accommodate the free late checkout that is all they had to say. That this never had to become such a confrontation. We are understanding that sometimes things like this were unavailable. What we didn’t understand was her attitude. Melinda offered us the free late checkout but only if we were willing to pay $60. I told her it’s a free service you offer and I would not be willing to pay. As we were there for a college tour and had a break which was why we were inquiring. I don’t think yelling at your guests and pouring on their doors is appropriate. I do believe the staff of this hotel should spend less time outside smoking and more time on customer service classes

A decent older property. The rooms have been refreshed. But the building is older. My windows were fogged and they definitely let sound in. Comfortable mattress. Fridge and microwave in the room and internet streaming tv. . But there were some cleanliness issues. Carpet poorly vacuumed. And toilet not cleaned properly. Price was standard for the area. And close to University of Albany and 10 min to the airport

Spent one night here. After unpacking went to use bathroom. The toilet bowl had not been cleaned. There were brown specks all over the inside of the bowl. Yuck! One of the three folded bath towels was damp and used and smelled of chlorine. Gross! Obviously housekeeping didn’t not clean this room but they rented it anyways. I will not be staying here next time I’m in Albany!

This place is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at . Back in February there was a man passed out in front of my door and when I went to front desk they knew exactly who it was . The sane stay there was a couple fighting and it got loud enough where people were outside listening. When I talked to management they informed me this property was a emergency shelter The place is dirty and smells like **** . The common areas have trash and looks like never been vacuumed. My last stay was the final straw my room smelt like snoop dogg was the previous guest and had to switch rooms . I complained to front desk and asked for someone to call me and no one did . I emailed and called about a dozen times and nothing. I called marriot and then the property gave me 5k points which is ridiculous but still didn’t call I would rather sleep in the car then stay here which is unfortunate cause the front desk staff is good and breakfast is good

We stayed for one night and we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. Brenda, who served breakfast was great and mentioned the breakfast was recently improved and expanded. All of the employees we came in contact with were friendly and helpful. We will return again.

I teach business ethics at St. John's University (NY). In speaking w/ my students about assembling an ideal customer service team, I encourage them to target positions for certain people where they can succeed. Subsequently, a company should develop a leadership plan to promote folks regularly challenging them w/ even greater responsibility. Having said this, I applaud the management team at the Fairfield for their staffing critical areas with ideal employees. I think of Brenda at the breakfast buffet, Keshanna & Ruth at the desk during my check-in. All three of these folks are ideal and represent the Marriott brand and property well. Bravo! Having said all this, I would encourage management to work on refreshing the rooms.
