Absolutely stunning accommodation. One of the nicest places we have ever stayed. Very central to Albi yet it feels like you are in the middle of the countryside. The grounds are immaculate and the pool is beautiful. Thank you Isabelle for being an amazing host. We cannot wait to return!

The Chateau was a wonderful find in Albi walking distance to the historic center. The owners renovated the home with a keen eye of design and detail. Very comfortable bed and large room. Delicious breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend.

Isabelle was fantastic. Very professional and helped us with recommendations on how to move around and places to eat. She even made reservations for us. I highly recommend the property.

We loved Albi and we loved our Air B&B. We had a lovely stay there. Our host, Isabelle was exceptional. We fell in love with the resident dog, Malko. The property is so relaxing. We loved the pool area too. The entire backyard is beautiful and has a very calming and zen appeal. Breakfasts were tasty. We were within walking distance to town and there were some delicious restaurants, like ale Epicurean that is a must try. The city is easy to navigate and Isabelle provides you with a map and walks you through how to get to all the must sees. She is also great at recommending where to eat!

Please let me begin this review by explaining that my wife and I are very experienced travellers, having voyaged around the world for over 30 years and staying in every kind of accommodation. L'Autre Rives is truly special … and wonderful in so many ways. In June 2022, my wife and I stayed 11 nights at Isabelle and Philippe's maison d'hôtes. We were leading an international photography retreat, hosting 8 photographer clients from the USA. (We live in the UK.) The ten of us effectively took over the maison for over a week, booking all the guest rooms and even hiring a private chef for two nights—and what an incredibly fabulous experience it was for us all. Well appointed rooms The rooms are impeccable in terms of both the comfort and the quality of finish. It is very clear how much thought and care has gone into the creation of this maison d'hôtes, which the owners renovated themselves to a very high standard. We have travelled extensively throughout France and the rest of Europe and can list these essential but all too rare aspects of the guest experience: - Air conditioning in every guest room - Kettle for coffee/tea service in all the guest rooms, plus - A fantastic espresso system in the common area - Strong wifi signal with good broadband speed - Delicious and fresh breakfast, with a vast selection (by French standards) It goes without saying that the beds are comfortable, plus the showers (and baths!) are great, with consistently hot water and strong pressure. Backyard Oasis The shared areas (dining room, lounge, etc.) are inviting and comfortable, but it's the back garden that really puts this place over the top. Around the swimming pool was where our group spent every free moment when we weren't out doing photography, or eating and drinking! This is truly a slice of heaven. The bottom line We were sad to leave and are already working on plans to return. In a way it's a shame to let out the secret about this place, because we don't want it to get too busy! But Isabelle and Philippe work hard to make a very special experience for their guests and they deserve every success. If you are planning a trip to Albi, don't want to stay at a major hotel and prefer the B&B style, and don't mind a short walk into the centre of town, you can't do any better than L'Autre Rives.

We spent 2 blissful days here, relishing the convenient access to historical Albi as well as the seclusion and comforts of this lodging. The home is beautifully furnished with every contemporary comfort and very spacious. Isabelle offers wonderful dining recommendations and assistance with any guest needs. She is also serves an exceptional breakfast. We hope to return some day.
