Eden Resort

We stayed her for a week as a family of 3 in a two bed apartment. The food was brilliant, lots of choice and was all fresh and tasty. The drink selection was also very good. All the staff were lovely and friendly, apart from the towel attendant who I found to be rude. The apartment was large but very basic. I was disappointed that it had water damaged doors and stains on the sofa, it really did let the place down. The apartment had a damp smell/feeling to it. The air conditioning unit leaked three times when we was there. They did send people round to fix it but it would just leak again shortly after. Children’s entertainment was good but I felt it could benefit from a proper playground for the children to play in, especially when the weather wasn’t the best and the splash park was closed. We enjoyed our stay but would not choose to come back again.

Firstly the positives: Good quality food Generally quiet around the resort Good connection to Albufeira with the shuttle bus Good free WiFi throughout the resort Reception was friendly and efficient And the negatives: Staff can come across as rude and there is no effort to say hello or ask how your holiday is going Not much storage space in the apartment Our apartment was next to a busy road so quite noisy on the balcony The TV in the room did not work The pool bar closed at the slightest hint of bad weather The food choices for vegetarians were limited There is only one restaurant other than the buffet Large queues for the buffet restaurant at busy times They would not exchange pool towels one day because they were keeping them for new guests I would not return to this resort.

The two-bedroom villa was perfect for us as we went with my parents and toddler. It had a spacious living area and a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, full fridge/freezer, microwave, and oven. We made use of the baby concierge service, which we arranged before our trip. We received a potty, high chair, cutlery, cot, monitor, and changing mat, lots of other useful items were available. We paid a deposit, which was easily refunded when we left. I’d recommend bringing a baby monitor, as the villa was very soundproof. We needed ours when we were downstairs, while our 18-month-old slept upstairs. The food was fantastic and varied, with plenty of options. For young children they had plenty of high chairs and plastic plates and bowls. The staff were incredibly attentive, and the whole resort was spotless. Some days they had a BBQ on the terrace, which was a nice touch. We also ate at the à la carte restaurant, it was well worth it, with very lovely presented dishes. We booked it on our second day for a meal the night before we left. We only used the shuttle service once, they had car seats and boosters. When we wanted to go out between the shuttle times, we took Ubers, which only cost around €5. The pool areas were great, very clean and loads of beds. The water was a bit cold at first and our little one especially loved the splash zone. The entertainment was good, particularly the circus show, it was amazing to see the same talented team putting on all the performances. The fire show was another highlight, and we enjoyed watching it from our balcony. Since we usually put our little one to bed before 8pm, we didn’t experience all the entertainment, but what we saw was impressive. There were so many thoughtful touches, like being able to rent toys, the use of plastic glasses during the fire show for safety, characters visiting during breakfast to entertain the kids, and even mini toilets in the reception, entertainment, restaurant area. I also managed to sneak away for some relaxation at the spa and had a wonderful 75-minute treatment. Overall, we couldn’t fault the place. It’s ideal for families with young children, and we would definitely recommend it!

We stayed at Eden Resort for our first family holiday with our nearly 3 year old from 30th Aug - 6th Sep. The resort is excellent, spotlessly clean and the facilities are great. Our toddler absolutely loved the splash park. There are only chairs, no loungers, but this wasn’t an issue for us. It forces people to keep an eye on their kids so makes sense. The main pool had great entertainment and music and we always managed to find sun loungers despite it being busy. Great variety of cocktails and food at the pool bar. The chicken kebab was the best I’ve ever had! The buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner was amazing. Huge variety of food and everything was good quality and freshly made. There was always fries, chicken nuggets and beans for our fussy toddler. I loved that you can have sangria at meal times too. The staff are very friendly and attentive, especially those in the buffet restaurant. The free shuttle was excellent. We used it most days. The driver was very helpful and the bus was immaculately clean. I was surprised to find out they even supply baby/toddler car seats and child booster seats. We stayed in a one bed apartment at the entrance to the resort. There are a few signs of wears and tear (eg. surface peeling of drawers in bedroom) but the room was clean so this wasn’t an issue. I read a few reviews about ants, we only saw about three in the apartment and noticed there are a few ant traps placed in cupboards so it looks like the resort are trying to keep them away. It would be impossible to keep all ants away in a warm country. Overall we had an amazing holiday. We would definitely stay here again!

Great family holiday at Eden Resort In no particular order but to pick up on the points around sun beds first. We never had an issue getting one! It’s a great system that should be applauded. Well done Eden resort. I much prefer way that you can’t just stick your towels down at 5am and then disappear all day! It also stops large groups and big families dominating certain areas of the pool everyday. The lifeguard very diligently observed towels that had been left for long periods and moved them to free up the beds. Rightly so. We went to Pirates Village in Mallorca a few years ago and it was chaos. This is a good system and one I hope to see elsewhere. If you want to go to the pool early, get some beds and actually use them for the day you absolutely can. Great chicken kebabs by the pool too. Shuttle bus into town works well and if you miss the return times then it’s only a 7/8 euro Uber from the Old Town in Albufeira. Food is excellent and both adults and children were very happy with it. We are not fussy eaters and loved it especially the salads. A la Carte for one night was great - steak amazing. Well done the entertainment team - really pleased. Bit of everything. Quiz, karaoke, circus show (fab) plus the aqua aerobics during the day. Also really liked the music around the pool. Kids had an amazing time and didn’t want to come back. They made some great pals too. The fire alarm going off couldn’t have been helped as it was an electrical fault!!! Couple of negatives for balance. Check in was a bit late for us 4:15pm. Could have done with another couple of pool tables as kids loved them and not always easy to get on. If you want half a day out the boat trip to the Benagil Caves was great. Apartment was pristine, very large and 2 spacious bedrooms. Perfect for family of 5.

Four star hotel that ticks all the boxes. Did exactly as the description says on line. We stayed in a two bed villa. Clean and modern, very spacious. Stair gates and bed guards (great for toddler safety. Full kitchen 2 bathrooms nice terrace. A few pools onsite a great splash/ play water area for kids and a bigger main pool area with a smaller pool very shallow for kids again. There is a an adults only pool too. We stayed without the all inclusive option but did dine at night in the buffet restaurant a few times (cost was 30£ roughly per adult and that included all alcohol drinks you had at dinner too) my son was 3 and you didn’t have to pay for him. The food at the buffet was good in my opinion always plain pasta pizzas nuggets and chips on offer for kids, bread rolls lots of fruit and salads. Always different options of fish fillets and meats also good veggie variety, we attended nights of Portugal theme, Asian theme, Italian theme etc. Ice poles and ice cream tubs on tap for the children. The resort was well kept and lovely to walk around a couple of bars and evening entertainment too, there was inflatable bouncy castle and cars around 4 evenings a week too. 20 min walk into the main area or they had a bus on resort and can call taxis. Found all staff quite pleasant especially staff encountered in the restaurant very accommodating for children. There was an entertainment team which were great and had everyone dancing in the pools around 4pm. Lots on offer by them. Our villa was very close to the entrance / main bar entertainment area which you could hear the music quite loudly, lucky we don’t go to bed till late and have white noise machine but if you go to bed early maybe just request villas/apartments at the back of the resort. Would stay here again and recommend to friends with children.
