Muthu Oura Praia Hotel

Our 2nd time staying at this hotel, and for good reason. We were self-catering, and have never known anywhere to be so well equipped in the kitchen area of the apartment. The beds & pillows are super comfortable, both of us slept great. The apartment and hotel itself is very spacious. Although the rooms are rather outdated, everything is kept very clean. All staff here are so friendly and helpful. Especially receptionists Natalia & Edson, who both made us feel welcome at all times. The hotel is situated perfectly in the area for everything you may want or need. It's safe to say that we would definitely return to this hotel in the future.

It says 4 star but I think nearer 2.5 a few tiles in the bathroom were broken and had jagged edges which was dangerous. The tv remote was held together with duck tape and although we don’t watch a lot of tv if you did the 4 English Channels were frozen a lot so you could not rely on watching anything. the noise from the bar the hangover which is actually connected to the lobby area late at night was ridiculous. Music still pumping and singing way into midnight. So glad my room wasn’t above it. When we arrived we were then told that breakfast and dinner is served in the sister hotel which was a ten minute walk down the road. Although the breakfast was nice it was all down hill getting there and all uphill getting back. I think many people staying did not bother because of the steep hill back. The room was basic and not for cooking in but spacious and the beds and towels were done every 2 or 3 days. All the staff were friendly. The gym is small and basic but it’s workable. The pool area was large and plenty of space to stretch your legs. All areas were clean inside and out. We enjoyed our stay but then we were out every day and night. Shame the outside pool isn’t heated. Nice to look at but cold I’m told lol.

I would like to say that I have booked this hotel all inclusive with loveholidays app.Everything went well till in the moment when I have arrived.At the arrival I was asked to sign the check in document without being informed that I need to pay a deposit of £100 which was supposed to receive it back but not happed yet.I have asked why before signing the check in I was not informed about this fee.I was told that the third party love holiday stated in their policy which.Well this is mentioned in general but not in particular for this hotel.I was told I can’t check in without paying this fee,event though was 10.30 pm and I was with a child after me.The tone use by the receptionist Camilo was rude and I have asked to speak with a manager.Same attitude received from the manager Sia.Same tone used.Nobody made me fell so bad.I have started the holiday into turn worse way possible.After I have payed the all inclusive package which was not cheap I was treated so badly. Not saying that this is not a 4⭐️ hotel.No water in the room at arrival with all inclusive.Not even a sandwich on arrival with all inclusive.They have asked me to pay a deposit of £100 for any demages I could cause but the rooms literally needs a refurbishment.Broked iron was given for use.Cockroaches in the kitchen.Not worth the price I have payed. I was told I will receive my deposit back but not happened.I want my depoist back asap.

Having read previous reviews I was open minded about this hotel, we are just back after an amazing week there. I will start with the negative which is rather brief....2 negatives..... room was a bit outdated & could do with a general refurb & the lack of snacks at the pool, not even a packet of crisps. Positives are numerous, room was functional & had all the essential amenities. Bed was comfy & we had all that we needed. Staff were in general courteous & helpful, polite & professional. Location is really good, less than a 10 minute walk to the strip and the Oura beach. Close to some beautiful restaurants & cocktail bars. Overall we would recommend a visit here, the good definitely outweighs the bad. Pool is amazing too ‍♀️

Stayed here for 7 nights self catering. Can’t fault the place, we were upgraded to a better room which had a massive open living area separate to the bedroom. Pool area is beautiful. Staff on reception went above and beyond nothing was ever an issue.

This property especially in Winter is perfect. Bars Cafes Restaurants Supermarkets all within easy walking distance. The hotel is old and dated. Although the beds were very comfy. Tiles in bathroom are cracked or crazed. Kitchen equipment is old and lacked instruction for oven. Furniture is all cane and would benefit from replacement. The colour on the outside of building is dated and would benefit from a white uplift. Staff are fantastic. The exit from pool area and lower foyer are permanently locked and only way out on coast side of building is via the Hangout Bar. Any meals booked here have to be taken at sister hotels but we did Self Catering. Adequate equipment to cook is provided. We have visited several times so we must like it. But would be nice to see it brought up to date.
