We were a group of 3 girls. Staff are excellent and polite. Room was basic, but clean and big enough for 3. Security at night are polite. Pool clean. Pool staff and pool bar staff excellent. Ideally located to new step. Great British pub across road Fat Cats. Excellent Indian restaurant around the corner Clay Oven and a short taxi to old ***** or a 20 minute walk. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! To begin with the pool was filthy the whole time we was at the hotel - clearly does not get cleaned. Our room stank of drainage throughout our whole stay to the point on a couple of nights we could not stay in there as the smell was so bad. We also had money stolen from our room which when we reported it to reception they immediately became extremely defensive and rude explaining that it was 100% not their staff and then further accusing us for stealing our own money from our room. Overall the situation was handled very unprofessionally and gave the impression that they really couldn’t care less.

Another perfect stay at ourabay. Staff are fantastic. Apartments are perfect. Location is perfect. Cleanliness is perfect. Housekeeping is perfect. What more can I say - PERFECT. Thank you once again. Cannot wait to visit again. Already checking dates 😁😁

Well equipped self-catering room with nice view of city and sea in distance. Very helpful and friendly reception team. Nice, well kept pool area. Well situated for local Pingo Doce supermarket across the road and other local shops. 5 min walk to The *****, if that's your thing, but we preferred the old town or marina. Lovely long beach. The rep recommended the Uber app, which proved to be fantastic with taxis being super quick to arrive and inexpensive. We wouldn't recommend the historical day trip as most of the day was spent on the coach and not at the places you wanted to explore - car rental or local buses would be a better option. Would definitely recommend the hotel though and stay there again.

Amazed at how nice this place was after reading some not too good reviews. Our studio was immaculate and had everything we could need and more. Excellent location and great value for money, we've stayed in places and paid more than twice the cost of this accommodation and no where near as good. We'd definitely return and highly recommend. Don't be scared to book.

We stayed here for 3 nights late February 2024 in a City view studio. The entrance to the hotel is badly situated and really needs better signage or access to make it easier to carry cases to reception. Having said that it was bright and clean in the main hotel. Our room was on the 3rd floor with a good sized balcony with afternoon sun and you could see the sea in the distance ( Room 358 ). Although the room was clean the furniture/facilities were very dated. The bathroom needs to be refurbished along with the whole studio to be honest. The pool looked very inviting but the weather didn't encourage us to use it. I would imagine in the warmer months it would be lovely as there's plenty of space and sunbeds. Walking distance to Old Town is about 25 minutes and there are plenty of beaches in the area. If you're young at heart The ***** is about 5 minutes walk away but at this time of year it was mainly drinkers that were catered for rather than restaurants. As with most drinking areas they don't really start until about 11pm although there are places open all day with the usual touts trying to get you in. The Old Town is more of an eating area and is better for families. Fisherman Beach is huge and very clean heading east along the coast.

Room 359 was an upgrade on last years stay (thanks) and I had a sea view although it is in the distance it was nice sat in my balcony. Check in simple, quick and efficient, my room was ready at 1.45pm although check in is officially 4pm. Nice clean and spacious room, was cleaned daily, everything you need in there for self catering and a supermarket 1 min walk away. The ***** is 5 mins walk and the beach or old town about 20 mins. Perfect stay and very nice staff, would recommend staying here. Safe, Fridge, toiletries, hairdryer and TV

We stayed here over Christmas lovely place great staff lovely accommodation staff couldn’t be more helpful my husband caught his arm and the reception staff gave him iodine and plasters and couldn’t of been more helpful gratefully appreciated
