Nau Sao Rafael Suites - All Inclusive

Es un hotel muy familiar y tranquilo, mucho turismo inglés, no hay animaciones ni nada para jóvenes, no lo recomiendo para la juventud, en tema de comida muy poca variedad, y comidas repetidas,también he de decir que hay mucha limpieza, pero eso sí tener cuidado donde reserváis porque yo reseerve por aquí el todo incluido y resulta que si no reservas por la página oficial del hotel no te entran todas las bebidas no se porque… la verdad que para ser un 5 estrellas deja mucho que deseear!

We were a party of 4 couples, and had booked 4 double rooms. On arrival we were told the hotel was full and were housed in 2 rooms/suites (2 couples in each) which according to the hotel website were family rooms. These rooms were not acceptable but the hotel would not offer an alternative until our Tour Operator became involved having been sent a video of the actual rooms we were allocated. This finally resulted in appropriate accommodation being provided to the 4 most affected party members, but only after 6 days of our 10 day holiday. None of our rooms were provided with Tea/Coffee making facilities, each room was only provided 1 bottle of water (for 4 guests) each day. Food in the hotel was on the whole ok. At meal times wine was provided, but only by the glass, on no account would the staff allow our party of 8 to have a bottle provided at the table from our All inclusive provision? There were only 2 bars in the hotel, one the pool bar was closed after 6 days due to it being near end of season, the hotel still appeared to be at near capacity? The main hotel bar was understaffed and queuing for 10-15 minutes to be served was common particularly in the busy evening times. Front line staff (servers/ cleaners etc..) were in the main, very polite, but seemed to have very strict rules by which to follow, there was only one occasion when a member of the waiting staff took his own initiative, sadly this was on our last night. This holiday could have been very different to what we experienced, the hotel was not as advertised and I would not return for another visit.

I'd say its a decent 3+ star.It's a well maintained hotel. Nice furniture.Rooms big and nice enough, they just need a little TLC. Buffet main meals lacked variety but what they had was tasty. A nice selection of cakes and deserts. Between meals offering wasn't amazing and limited drinks selection. Bar/lounge lacked atmosphere. It's a quiet reserved place which was OK for my mum and I but we often just went to our room. Location is ok. About £6 euros to get to the main resort in an uber which was a godsend. 15 euros for the "spar" was robbery. The spar is essentially a small indoor pool and jauzzie woth access to a steam room and sauna. This has always been free in other hotels I've stayed in. The local beach was stunning. We enjoyed our stay and it was nice enough. The old town was a bit on the shabby side compared to other old towns. The "*****" was as expected. Booze booze boose! For good old Brits abroad. Local marine lacked the vibe youd imagina a marina to have. Probably wouldn't go back to ths hotel if I'm honest.

Fantastic hotel, clean, modern with many helpful polite staff where nothing is too much trouble, especially the reception team. The pools are spacious with plenty of sun loungers available although some require replacing. Managers Richard and Phillip (Restaurant /Bar) are a credit to the company, they work really hard with their staff to maintain the high standards expected. The restaurant staff are efficient and you are always greeted with genuine smiles. The variety and quality of food is very good, the chef and his team do an amazing job. There is always a fantastic variety of food to choose from. The bar which is small for the amount of guests is always busy later on in the day with golfers, usually there is only two bar staff on, one very experienced the other is rude (beyond words) and impatient. The beautiful beach is a 5 minute walk away. I would definitely return.

Probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. There is no way this hotel is a 5 star, it’s a 3 at very best. When we arrived reception staff were rude and really unwelcoming. We arrived at 11am and were told we were not allowed wrist bands for all inclusive until 2pm. It was raining and we couldn’t check in till 3pm at the very earliest so we wasted most of our first day sat around unable to do anything. The room was quite dated, not the cleanest of rooms either. The pools looked filthy and like they had been cleaned in a long time. The sun loungers were all falling apart. The drink selection for cocktails weren’t great either. The food was okay just not much variety so we ate out for dinner every evening. Wouldn’t recommend and definitely wouldn’t stay here again.

Thankyou so much for a brilliant holiday to all the staff at Rafael suites especially Richard for making our stay so memorable. It's a fabulous hotel so clean and modern but the staff make it extremely fabulous!! Thanks for a great time , as I was here with my family with mobility issues and an Autistic child, nothing was a problem, the roo.s spotless, the food gorgeous and varied every day , the management should be so proud of how this hotel is run. The weather isn't great today but I think if the staff had it in there power they would have brought the sun out for us!! Its really so great, thanks so much for a fantastic holiday x

Very poor bar service, not enough staff. Long queues constantly for drinks. Bar staff uninterested and slow. Drinks served in small glasses. All inclusive finishes at 11pm. Food was ok in the buffet. We ate once in the a la carte and that was good but again service was slow.

Sadly one of the worst hotels we have stayed in, from the start this hotel by any stretch of the imagination is not a 5 star at best,I’d say 3, from the moment you arrive the welcome is basic with no welcome drink and be mindful of your arrival time as regardless of your departure time you’re all inclusive doesn’t start till 3pm which is ridiculous, the hotel is tired and in desperate need of attention, the pool is dirty and not once did we see it cleaned or the water’s tested, the slabs around the pool are uneven and cracked, bedrooms are ok but balcony in our room 204 was in need of repair the towels are thin and old and there is no mini bar, the food was good and staff work hard but there English is not good so didn’t always get the drinks we asked for and never with a smile, the hotel is a golfing hotel we large groups of men who drank an awful lot and the noise matched their drinking, due to the choice of language I wouldn’t recommend to families with children, noise levels we terrible even at 5am, this hotel really needs regrading not a good experience overall.

Can't see how this hotel is a 5 star at all! Would go back for the right money but has a lot to be desired. To not get a band until check in was a first. We had to wait 3 hours and pay for any drinks in between. We paid full price for a drink at the pool bar and got served them in the small all inclusive cups. Food was 3*. The choice of meats was very poor, I have stayed in 3 star all inclusives with a better choice of food. There was only two nights which served up a meal you would be happy with, roast duck, and kung po chicken. It was the only night out of 5 that had chicken day or lunch. I've never seen an all inclusive that doesn't have ice cream either in the restaurant! Restaurant staff were not the best they always seemed grumpy bar 1/2 of them. Went to use the restaurant that was separate from the main food and was informed it wasn't free as part of your stay you only got a discount, again I have never experienced this at any other all inclusive never mind a 5*. Rooms were great, the closest thing to a 5*. Beds were very comfortable and balcony was massive, loads of space in the room. Tv very dated if you wanted to use it you didn't have much choice, didn't bother us. Bathrooms smelt of bad sewage the whole trip but was ok if doors were closed. Cleaners did a great job everyday. Bar area was lovely and bar staff were very friendly. The main man behind the bar made great cocktails. Staff at reception were very helpful also during our stay.
