Nice pub with friendly staff in a good location. Meals in evening were average breakfast to be honest was poor. Had full English with cold baked beans and other elements were both not very hot and had probably been there since earlier in the morning. Room ok on the small side and when arrived was cold. You’d think as they know you are coming they would turn the radiator up to make the room warm and inviting. Windows externally could do with some new paintwork.

Hands down, the best pub Sunday lunch I've had anywhere. We had the beef and the lamb, both cooked to perfection, as was everything else. Piping hot, generous portions. The pub itself is a lovely characterful old building. The staff are a delight and went out of their way to make my 90 year old father feel comfortable and welcome.

I booked this hotel as literalky 10 minutes from my eldest daughter home with my beagle for three nights. The room waa very acceptable. well set out. I did book in early as told.the hotel would close at 2pm for Christmas Alao told no breakfast available on Bpxing day. I stayed Christmaa day night. Byt dyringbday i.recekved a telephone call stating an emergency Respitory apt.had been made for me.at a hospital.close to me honevas on..my. third..lot of antinitics plus.steriods in a very short window. I thetefore gad to leave early Boxing day.. i..left at 7.30 left key under mst. Emailed hotel. Rang them on opening explained sitiation and. Therefore requested refundbforbtwo night not stsyed. After iver 6 gmails told.only a partoal refund woukd be cfered due to. Their cancellation. Policy. Despite regiving. my cars ni expiry date and issuef with refund receiot showing a minus amount not plus amount no. Refind had reached my account. Its vety distressing as i am only on a state pension i savw up.for hotel stays. I have always paid at end of. Stay never up front before All i want is my refubd slbeitbit inly worth half..what l. actually Paid. It seems like tbe hotel.does not wish to givr myself any kind if refund. I will contact.
