However the lady who checked us in was lovely and helpful. There was a lift up to our floor. Our room was perfect for us, light, bright and very comfortable and importantly spotlessly clean. The terrace was a bit pokey but that is the nature of an old building and it was just nice to be able to sit out at night and look over the town. The shower was good and we had everything we needed. The location was fabulous for the Old Town and I was amazed at how quiet the room was especially as so near a vibrant area. The walk down to the beach was challenging and not to be recommended of mobility isn't great but Taxis arrive quickly to the many taxi ramps which are dotted around. The parking was difficult in August, but only to be expected really. Being very picky, the reception area could do with a face lift as it didn't give a welcoming vibe. However the lady who checked us in was lovely and helpful. There was a nice restaurant and bar next door where breakfast was served. All in all I would highly recommend this place and would happily stay there again.

We stayed 1 night. Party next room: booze, *****, techno, banging on wall. Rang so-called manager (no onsite staff). Police eventually came then left. Party continued. We left next morning, cancelled our 3 day booking. Manager (?) offered ‘solution’ next day, repeated promise two days later. Finally did nothing and stopped answering messages. Dishonest and disreputable. Buyer beware!!!

Don't book or stay here. It is a complete scam. You must pay in advance, as we did. When we arrived at 1500, the hotel was locked up tight, sign said the front desk was open 1330 to 2000. We rang the buzzer, the sign said they would answer in one minute. No such luck. We called the phone number posted on the door multiple times and left messages. A half-hour later, after standing in the rain (stupid us believing their sign) and ringing the bell, we gave up and walked two blocks over to a cafe for lunch. One hour later, still no return call. As this is a resort town, we opted to find another hotel before it got too late in the day and hotels would be full. At 1915 we received a text message from the hotel with instructions on how to enter the hotel, as they were not in the hotel, and we could sign in the next morning. (Sign said front desk open until 2000.) So we traded text messages and were told by them that they were in the building and were always in the building. I find it interesting that they sent us information on how to access the building, as in they weren't there, but we were told by them that they were always there. Save your money and time.

Perfect location for the old town basic but very clean definitely recommend for an overnight stay to enjoy the ambience of stunning Altea and its lovely bars and restaurants Good cafe next door for VFM Breakfast short walk to Car park FOC !

Un hostal totalmente reformado con todas las comodidades y a muy buen precio. Es un pequeño lujo que tienes al alcance de cualquier bolsillo. Cómodo, limpio, con muy buena atención y muy bien situado. A los pies del centro de Altea. Repetiremos.

Estuvimos 5 noches. Hostal situado en la zona alta de Altea, junto al centro turístico. Ubicación buena para visitar la villa: centro, playa, rutas a pie… Zona bastante tranquila. Relación calidad-precio correcta. La habitación, bien; el baño estaba recién reformado; el armario un poco deteriorado, pero estaban esperando el mueble nuevo. Balcón pequeño, pero de agradecer. Personal amable que te atiende rápidamente si tocas el timbre y aceptan las propuestas que hace el viajero. Tiene una terraza superior donde puedes disfrutar de vistas impresionantes de todo el pueblo. Hay un pequeño bar donde se puede desayunar, comer o cenar. Se puede aparcar cerca de forma gratuita; el fin de semana cuesta un poquito más porque hay más turismo. El único inconveniente es que si anulas con menos de 7 días pagas toda la reserva.
