I went for a Sunday roast today Service excellent food excellent and excellent value for money £15.95 superb Really enjoyed it Roast and mash potatoes Green beans,roasted carrots cauliflower cheese and parsnips Yorkshire pudding Gravy Pork beef and chicken Couldn’t fault it , 10/10

Had the pleasure of staying in the hotel unfortunately for only one night. The room was stylish and well equipped without being cluttered. The bed was sooo comfortable with clean crisp linen. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, can't wait to stay here again!

Having heard a couple of good recommendations decided to give this a try for impromptu dinner out with adult family. Warm welcome set the tone from the excellent waiting staff that was consistently good throughout the evening. Good standard pub fare menu. Lots of homemade claims which I was unfairly suspicious of until our food arrived. It definitely looked homemade and was really very good. We had a generous portion of sharing nacho to start three of us and perfect, plenty of topping. Ribs, lasagna and steak pie followed , all three were equally good. The ribs and lasagna were served with homemade chips and very fresh lovely salad. Dessert options sounded lovely but we were too stuffed this visit. The staff were so lovely, the right blend of attention without being in your face. Over the years this pub has had various reincarnations, often dubious so it is fantastic that at last we have a great new option much needed in our town. Had a wonderful lunch with family in the newly refurbished pub. New owner is very welcoming and friendly. Everyone’s food was great and we especially liked the homemade chips! Will definitely be back soon and will recommend to friends and family. See you again soon!

Just had a Sunday lunch here with my wife. Absolutely wonderful! Fantastic food and quality drink. The gravy with the roast dinner was to die for as was the New York Cheesecake! The hotel/pub is under new management with Stacey and Martin your hosts. Please pay a visit as you will not regret it!

We heard this place had new owners so decided to give it a go and we weren’t disappointed. The steak was perfectly cooked and delicious, drinks were fab and staff were very attentive and friendly. They made a lovely expresso martini too! Highly recommend a visit.
