RR Alvor Baía Resort

Gostámos imenso das instalações e do serviço, especialmente dos funcionários do restaurante Green, apesar de estar muito cheio, nunca faltava nada no buffet e a qualidade da comida era muito boa. O staff estava sempre muito activo e pronto a ajudar. A piscina é excelente, pena que o tempo não ajudou muito, para poder usufruir. Recomendo.

I was going to give five stars till I met that arrogant woman in morning. It was my last day everyone was thankful to me when I told them I that today is my last day in hotel but I was so disappointed when this arrogant LADY..... Yeah this is her name... She just picked sauce from my table when I was eating. I said I didn't finish... She made face and just went away. This is her behavior.I kept her watching.. She was so picky... Almost irritating everyone....My group named her MRS OBJECTION. I was avoiding her because she works in blue restaurant mostly but my bad luck that day Blue restaurant was close.... God knows why? My fellow friends told me she's rude.... And yeah SHE IS RUDE. Besides all this hotel got clean rooms. Average food. Helpful staff. Kitchen staff doesn't know English at all, but they help you. Children enjoy because no restrictions for them. Special vegetarian section... That's good. Most of all you can order special order if you like. Large parking lot and bigger swimming pool ever.... But water is cold. Finally It was all good... Nice stay in reasonable price.

We stayed for one week in mid March and pleasantly surprised upon check-in our pre-booked garden view room was upgraded to a pool view. The room was of a high standard, with a kitchenette which included a microwave, fridge and electric hob. Also, cups, saucers, plates wine glasses for 4 people plus a couple of cooking pans. The room was spacious enough for 2 people the only downside was lack of drawer space only 3 drawers between us it was ok for one week but may be an issue for a 2 week stay. The food was buffet style with a good choice of hot food and good salad bar as were the desserts at lunchtime and dinner as we were on the all inclusive package. Good variety of food at breakfast if you preferred the hot or continental option. As with most hotels the plates could have done with being a bit warmer. Wine and beer was available at lunch and dinner. We never had an issue finding a table in the restaurant as the hotel was not full and the waiters cleared away dirty crockery once the table had been vacated. The outdoor pool is very large with more than enough sun loungers and umbrellas to accommodate everyone even if the hotel is full. We never had an issue with guests reserving sun loungers. There is a bar next to the pool and snacks are served in the Grand bar next to the restaurant. The entertainment was limited probably owing to the time of year, however as the stage is located in the pool area I'm guessing rooms on this side of the hotel may get noisy in the summer. The Grand Bar is ok but the atmosphere is very clinical with chairs and tables set out in lines it would benefit with softer lighting and less noise from the wall mounted TV blasting out MTV videos. There is another bar next to reception which is more welcoming but is not part of the all-inclusive package. All of the staff are friendly and reception staff are more than happy to assist with directions and will arrange for taxis. The beach is a 10 minute walk there is a courtesy bus service which runs throughout the day to and from the hotel. Also, Alvor town is approximately 15 mins walk from the hotel with plenty of bars and restaurants all reasonably priced. All in all we enjoyed our stay and are looking to return next March and would recommend the hotel and Alvor for a nice relaxing winter/spring break.
