Hotel Burja

My room was beautiful with a lovely comfy bed and clean spacious bathroom. This is a stunning property on the outskirts of Alwar. The staff are very friendly and honest. The gardens are lovely with plenty of places to sit in privacy. The architecture and hand painted traditional art on the walls make this place really special. Plenty of animals to spot in the garden. I heard peacocks, saw chipmunk squirrels and sacred cows in the street. The owner of this property is really helpful. Google translate comes in handy with the local staff who live in the village. It is clear to see why this place gets booked up. A beautiful spot in North Rajasthan. Loved it.

How often do you get a chance to stay in a 240 year old haveli? We got to experience the famed Rajasthani hospitality and culture, living in spacious vintage rooms that still exuded old world charm even when equipped with modern amenities. And the attention given to individual preferences truly made one feel special! Traditional Rajasthani food added to the experience, including piping hot rotis made on a wood fired chula set up just outside the dining area, a room which in itself is a piece of art! And cups of piping hot tea served in the open courtyard. And with no pollution haze to blur the night sky, the soft spoken manager of the hotel took us to the terrace one night, to explain to us and let us see the planets through his high tech telescope. It all just added up to the make this stay in the haveli a super special one.

Visited Burja Haveli with close friends for 3 days in November 2024 end. The Haveli was a revelation tucked behind a lovely private park. The ambience was a sheer walk down old times when Rajwads lived in huge spacious houses with a lot of rooms,central vista... The owner has kept the ambience intact with colorful Rajasthani interiors & display of old household items everywhere. Lakshay,the son,was managing our stay behind the scenes,so very effectively! Be it giving us a taste of local Rajasthani delectable dishes,organising an enjoyable folk dance evening,guiding us on places to visit,goading us to leave for our Sariska safari in time,keeping our rooms in order; & then enjoying night sky stars & 2 planets on his rooftop installed telescope!he did it all ,so amiably! Thank you Burja Haveli for giving us an enjoyable stay.

Delicious Food and beautiful property.Also the staff was very polite and humble. Very well maintained and Clean rooms , also there was very good arrangements like folk songs and traditional rajasthani food that provides a good vibe of Rajasthani Culture. A must visit Place if you visit Alwar.

This is an estate within a small village outside of Alwar not far from Sariska. The staff always went out of their way to be helpful and were always very courteous. Stayed in a de luxe room which was very comfortable. The building as a whole was beautiful with lots of paintings and fine architectural detail and within the rooms. food was excellent and best tandoori chicken I’d had in a long time. Really enjoyed our stay it was extremely pleasant. Thank you
