Tigh Na Leigh

We stayed for four nights at Tigh na Leigh guest house in Alyth. Our hosts, Graham and Karen, made us very welcome and we had an exceptionally comfortable and enjoyable visit. The bedroom was both spacious and cosy – beautifully furnished and decorated – with a lovely view over the pretty garden. The ensuite was extremely well appointed. The whole house is tastefully presented with attractive colour schemes and furnishings throughout. Breakfast is prepared to order every morning from a menu offering a wide range of delicious dishes hot and cold. We particularly recommend the home-made granola and the tasty ‘full Scottish’. Graham has a superb knowledge of the tourist attractions, beauty spots and lesser known, hidden treasures of the district and beyond. We particularly appreciated his helpfulness when we were planning our trips each day, as he was able to provide all the information we needed and to suggest places to eat and to visit that we might not otherwise have thought of. He also provided useful maps with routes clearly marked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are delighted to recommend Tigh na Leigh most highly. Definitely one of the best guest houses we have ever had the pleasure of staying in.

Stayed here on a recent cycle tour, the owners Graham and Karen have certainly got this nailed! Exceptional property, great breakfast, this place is an object lesson in how to run a hotel/b&b. Thoroughly recommend that if you’re looking for a special place to stay in Alyth, then this is it.

We stayed at this lovely establishment for one night on Valentines Day as a little treat away. We could not have been more happy with our stay. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Our room was beautiful as was the whole property. We had en evening meal and breakfast both of which were of exceptional quality and very well presented. The bed was very comfortable and room had all amenities you would expect from a high end establishment. This is a little gem tucked away in a beautiful part of Perth & Kinross on east coast of Scotland with loads to do around it. Whether your local or from further afield you won’t go wrong staying here and would warmly recommend a visit.

We had a lovely one night stay in Teigh Na Leigh. Beautiful room which felt very luxurious. Lovely communal spaces and delicious breakfast. Great value for money and very lovely owners who were very helpful and kind in suggesting local walks. We will definitely return.

This is our 4th visit and it never disappoints. Graham and Karen are friendly, welcoming and will do what they can to help. This time we stayed in room 1 on the ground floor with our 2 small dogs. Spacious, clean, elegant and comfortable. Graham is always on hand to answer any questions or make suggestions for places to visit and where the tasty places to eat are. Karen presents the most beautiful food which is locally sourced, home made and incredibly moreish. My husband and I have various foods that we don’t eat however, with communication before our visit this was easily sorted out and Karen went beyond to ensure we had delicious home cooked food. Would recommend to all and we will be back.

My wife and I, together with our daughter stayed at Tigh-Na-Leigh at the beginning of December whilst visiting friends in the area. The experience was wonderful. ⁠We were greeted by owners Karen & Graham whom we warmed to straight away as they are a very friendly and informal couple. As we had arrived slightly earlier than the check-in time Graham asked if we would like a quick tour of the property and gardens. The guest house and gardens are nothing but stunning - even in winter! Graham credited Karen for the rich and tasteful decor and the interior design of each of the public rooms and bedrooms all of which are truly luxurious. She has great taste ! We pre-ordered our dinner prior to our arrival which was seasonal and the 3 courses were all just delicious. They also have a limited but fine selection of wines and all reasonably priced. After dinner we retired to the snug bar for a night cap and then retired to our room (ask for Room No.3) which had a separate lounge and a very large, beautiful bathroom with a fantastic walk-in drench shower. Our daughter stayed in Room No.5 - just as comfortable and spacious with a large single bed and an en suite bathroom. Both bedrooms were immaculate, decorated to a very high standard and with extremely comfortable beds and super-soft pillows. We had a 5-star breakfast at 8:30 with a generous range of starters and mains - which included Karen’s home made granola and eggs from their own chickens. Karen's home made jams are divine. When we departed Graham provided us with a detailed map which included a couple of river walks and a recommendation to visit a really nice local cafe for that obligatory coffee and cake. We’re already planning a return visit at some point in 2025 but this time, it will be for several days and we’re bringing a couple of friends - as they’d love it too.
