Lacet House

A fantastic stay. Louise and Sean very warm and welcoming. A great team. Breakfasts were exceptional!! Very good nights sleep.. bed was so comfortable. Louise and Sean were very approachable. A great location..was very central and close to buses that go to grasmere, keswick etc.

This was a comfortable clean B & B which is well located in the pleasant town of Ambleside.The owners were great and were able to give good advice for thngs to do and see. Breakfast was very good and the eating area was clean and inviting. We had no complaints at all and would recommend this B & B as a nice place to stay.

I have been going to the Lakes for many years and have been staying at Lacet house for the same weekend in June for round 3 years. From the beginning the hosts Shaun and Louise have been quick to respond to emails. On arrival they were there to greet us and made us feel very welcome. Me and others were staying in a three bedroom room and this has been tastefully decorated and is very clean and tidy. The bed I found very comfortable. Usual facilities, tea , coffee's, biscuits and a TV. Private toilet and Bathroom . We had full English breakfasts freshly cooked for the two days we had been staying there. You can tell these are fresh ingredients and won't be surprised if they are locally sourced. Louise and Shaun remembers our group from when we have stayed there and they take time to talk to there guests, ( no bad heads this time) I would highly recommend staying here if you want to be in the centre of Ambleside and up for walking as you are not to far to start a walk and close to the pubs.

We had a fabulous time here for my husband’s birthday. Shaun and Louise are amazing hosts really go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Our room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The location is great with the bus stop across the road (we got the 599 to visit Windermere and Keswick). Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and hopefully we will be back!!!

Really enjoyed our stay in this lovely B&B. Shaun & Louise take great care of the property & their guests. Very nice room with coffee & tea making facilities, comfy bed & great shower room. A very nice touch in having a large ‘tray’ to put shoes & muddy boots on. First class breakfast with plenty of choices from continental style to full English. The property is central with a great selection of pubs, restaurants & shops within a few minutes walk. Plenty of hiking for all levels straight from the door. Shaun & Louise are very knowledgeable about the area & take a genuine interest in your plans for the day. There’s even private parking at the property for guests which is invaluable in this village at busy times. We wouldn’t have any reservations in recommending Lacet House to our friends & family, we thought it very good value for money in Ambleside. Myself and my partner stayed at Lacet House for a weekend in Ambleside. It is ideally situated as you drive into to the town and has a small car park to the rear of the building. Sean and Louise were the perfect hosts, welcoming and friendly tending to any needs. The room we had was spacious and cosy with a modern bathroom and very clean. There was a very good choice for breakfast, I went for a full English and there was plenty on the plate. I’d recommend the B&B to anyone looking to say in Ambleside. A great place to stay run by great people.
