Pontyclerc Farm House B&B

Jane, Nigel, Fay and the Pontyclerc Team, thank you so much for such a warm welcome; the wonderful Welsh breakfast(s); your hospitality and extremely good service, and especially the tourist information. We were also very fortunate to have been in Carmarthenshire with 7 days of sunshine. This B&B is really worth this 5-stars, simply one of the best in this region.

My partner and I stayed here in September as our holiday base. Everything was excellent. Large comfy bed and a lovely bathroom. Breakfasts by Jane were fabulous and Nigel was full of chat and local information. They both looked after us so well! I'd really recommend if you are looking for a nice relaxing stay.

We stayed for 3 nights. The farm house is spotlessly clean and the beds are very comfortable including the pillows and bedding. The breakfasts are great. You have to order them the night before. We both had the full English as well as eggs benedict and could not fault them. Jane's homemade jams are stunning. The breakfast room is lovely and each room has its own table. The bedroom has a generous selection of different coffees and teas as well as a treat each day - they were always replenished. We stayed in the twin room and although it is small, it is perfectly formed. The ensuite bathroom was a good size with a bath and shower. Water pressure was great. There is a separate reception room to relax in and there is also a garden. If you have children they will love seeing the 2 donkeys. I did not hear any noise from them. If you have an electric car there is a charger. From the furnishings to the food nothing was scrimped on. I will most definitely stay here again.

The owners were polite, friendly and welcoming. On arrival, I was shown to my room and given all the information I needed. There were snacks and hot chocolate in the room. Breakfast was made up order and the B&B was surrounded by beautiful countryside. Can’t fault the stay and the wonderful mix of history and modern features in the property.

Just back from another visit to stay with Nigel, Jane and Diana. Faultless as ever. Pontyclerc is beautiful and just what a Bed and Breakfast should be. A lovely, relaxing stay. Nigel and Jane are so friendly, it feels like a home from home. I just wish the breakfast at home was as good!

The Loveliest B&B owned by the Loveliest people! We had such a warm welcome to a cosy stay, we stayed in the room called Aman - it’s was lovely, had everything we needed and was done out to a high standard, whilst feeling homely! The breakfast was delicious we both had a cooked breakfast and loved that they used all local produce! We will definitely be back in the near future! Highly Recommend! PS don’t forget to take a carrot for the lovely donkeys!

Had the absolute pleasure of staying here for 2 nights with my partner and daughter, would give more star ratings if I could. Cannot fault a single thing , everything was perfect. The breakfast was the best we’ve eaten and the room was breathtaking, everything was fresh and clean , The bed was ultra comfy with the softest of pillows, the en-suite also had a wet room which again was of the highest standard. The couple who run it are so welcoming and friendly and cannot do enough for you to ensure your stay is everything you could hope for. Will return without a doubt and I will pass details of this gem to anyone planning on taking a short break to Wales. Thank you so , so much for your hospitality, you made our visit even more memorable.

Our whole experience with Jane & the team was excellent from the first phone call to make a booking. Jane was extremely helpful, helping me plan the right room for myself and 2 young daughters. On arrival Jane showed us around explaining how everything worked. The room was lovely, Very clean and had lots of space, even with the extra bed and cot. The beds were very comfy with extra blankets if needed however our room was the perfect temperature. Breakfast was delicious with juice and coffee constantly flowing! My daughter has an egg allergy and this was thought about whilst food was prepared. I can’t fault anything about our stay here and we will return when visiting family again.

We were met by Jane, who showed us to our room and ran through a few things with us, our room was spotless and very comfortable. We went out to the local town in the evening and found everything we needed. The breakfast menu would grace any 5 star hotel, the choice was amazing and Jane requested we order the night before so everything could be ready to cook fresh at our requested time. Nigel served our breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. Jane and Nigel are lovely friendly people and made our short stay very enjoyable.
