Yperia Hotel

We enjoyed the beautiful mountain and sea views and good privacy. The room was attractive, very clean, well equipped and with plenty of storage. We had access to a small balcony with a clothes line. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was buffet style. The food was delicious and fresh. Poached eggs, bacon, cold cuts and cheeses, cereals, fresh fruits and freshly squeezed orange juice, yoghurt, honey, jam, bread and pastry. Black tea and coffee. Only dairy milk available. We tried for lunch there one day, but none was available. Plenty of nearby taverns though. The hotel was reached by a walk up a hill, only a few minutes, but very steep. Our room was up about 20 steps. It would challenge guests with mobility issues.

We had an amazing stay at Yperia Hotel! The rooms were impeccably clean, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. The location couldn’t have been better, perfectly situated to explore everything. Most importantly, the service was exceptional—everyone was so kind, helpful, and attentive. Thank you for making our stay so memorable. We will definitely be back!

We stayed for 4 nights as part of a Greek Island hoping holiday, arriving by ferry from Naxos, where we were met by Antonis for the very short ride up to the hotel. Hotel is in a nice loction overlooking the harbour. There is a small sea water pool with comfortable loungers and beach towels. We enjoyed afternoon drinks at the poolbar with Antonis and tried his new cocktail. Breakfast was delicious and we were offered a choice of fresh cooked eggs. Our room was spacious and always clean with a nice sea view. Aegiali is small village but there are some nice tavernas around. There is a town beach but Antonis will give plenty of information on exploring the island. It is worthwhile hiring a car plus a trip to the hilltop Chora with its narrow passageways, tavernas and bars. We loved Amorgos and enjoyed our stay at Yperia Hotel. Antonis and all his team were friendly and helpful and we would love to come back as many people seem to do. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Yperia for 3 nights. Antonis the owner gave us a warm welcome. He is very friendly and very helpfull. The breakfast was included and very good. Some rooms are renovated this year. We were lucky to be able to stay in one of the new rooms called: “Isle Essence” It was ameezing. Very taste full decorated. Nice warm colours and romantic lights. The bed was fantastic. Also the view.we are sure to come back next year.

The whole was spotlessly clean , our room with a balcony to watch the sunset was simple and straight forward. The staff were always wanting to help. The breakfast was a delicious Greek meal not just a coffee and croissant like some European countries. The pool and pool bar was a bonus as the sun went down. We stayed a week and hired a car for 3 days to explore the beaches and the villages. The snorkelling in the waters around Amorgos was just a dream , a beautiful dream. Crystal clear waters ranging between aqua marine to baby blue colours. The hotel just complimented Amorgos perfectly.

We were prejudiced before we arrived as the hotel charged us 100% (900+ euros) for two sea view rooms six months in advance, rather than the 30% stated at booking. The sea view was partially blocked by a building in front and the side view was a dirt parking lot with abandoned trailers. The toilet paper holder sat on top of the toilet, the door to the room was broken, and the A/C wasn’t cooling. My husband, an engineer, fixed what was wrong, but when I complained to Adonis, the manager, and asked for a different room, his reply was that those were minor complaints and that if we wanted another room we could go to a different hotel. Instead of being embarrassed that my husband had to clean the clogged A/C filter, he chastised him. The pool area is very small, and it’s a long walk to a beach. The breakfast staff was very pleasant. But, needless to say we would not return.
