We stayed here for 4 nights in july - and had the best time! The hotel is located on the mountain side with incredible views of the sea and the surrounding cities. Room spacious and clean. Very nice homemade food. Staff is super friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond to make all our wishes come true. Two of us took diving certificate and the hotel drove us there every morning - and the other 2 hiked to the neighboring village. The place is unique in the sense that the location just makes it quiet and not over crowded which we loved. But most of all, the entire atmosphere with the staff just being extremely welcoming gave the place a family-like vibe, which you don’t find in many hotels. We hope to be back soon!

We absolutely loved the hotel. The whole family work together to run the hotel and they couldn’t do enough to take care of us - from drinks by the pool (with stunning views), to guiding us on local walks and arranging a hire car. The rooms are very spacious and we couldn’t get our teenager son out of the fabulous shower he loved it so much! The breakfast was also great - varied and fresh. Really enjoyed Amorgos but definitely hire a car for your stay. Thank you Vigla!

From Vigla hotel you have a fantastic view of Aegiali when eating the excellent breakfast of divine greek yoghurt. You are best of with a rental car and it is almost an hours drive to reach the south of the Island. But it is well worth to have Vigla as your base. The walks from the hotel to Aegiali or down to the sea are not super esay but well worth the effort. Staff is great, service and cleaning impecable. Only thing that could improve slightly is the restaurant.

The Vigla Hotel in Tholaria on Amorgos is a lovely spacious family run hotel and interesting contrast to being by the sea. Situated up the mountain in this little village it has tremendous views over the countryside plus a cooling breeze. There are many hiking trails but beware the heat. The facilities are excellent with a bar by the pool, jacuzzi & kids pool. The rooms were spotlessly clean with efficient air conditioning, fridge and kettle. Their mini bus will take down to the sea side village below. The staff are very friendly with nothing being too much trouble. The village itself is traditional narrow streets with several tavernas.

We where there the 3rd time alrealy. Erverything was perfect. The only small point is that the opening time of the swimming pool was this year reduced from 09.00 to 10.00, therefore we could not swimm a few minutes in the morning as in the past.

We have stayed at the Hotel Vigla for the last 5 nights . A gorgeous suite with a very comfortable large bed , sitting area , bathroom and dressing room . The staff were fabulous , so friendly and kind. The hotel is a 10 min transfer to the bay where there are many restaurants and shops. We were dropped off and picked up every time we wanted to go down to the bay . My only criticism would be lack of shade by the pool.

Great place to stay in Amorgos. Tholaria is a perfect little village with a number of restaurants. The hotel is family run therefore they really looked after you. The breakfast was good and the rooms were every spacious and spotless Wii definitely stay there again if we visit Amorgos again

Really excellent hotel. Lovely family who run the hotel, high quality rooms and amenities. The town it's situated just below is beautiful with a number of eating spots. We swam at the beach down below the hotel most days. The pool was lovely to lounge around and have a drink. While there, our family took up the options of a cooking class, donkey ride, and hike in the hills. Really couldn't fault Vigla or Amorgos; a wonderful stay and visit.
