Mercure Angers Centre de Congrès

A very clean hotel with spacious room. Centrally located to bars, restaurants, and the castle. Secure underground parking access round the cornwr from the hotel. Tea/coffee making facilities in room. Can highly recommend very friendly staff too

My wife and I stayed in the hotel for a couple of nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This was the first time we had visited Angers - a lovely historic town: we will be returning and will without doubt stay in this hotel again. One great advantage was the tram stop right outside the hotel which meant that we could explore the town without having to use our car

Room was comfortable and light .It gave on to the adjacent park so was super quiet no traffic noise at all.Only disadvantage was hotel room did not have a safe though safe facilities are I understand available at reception.. We received a great welcome from Léa on reception who was exceptionally helpful in providing details of restaurants and directions.My search to find somewhere televising a football match was extensive wandering around much of the city but Léa went to great lengths to try to track somewhere down.-definitely went the extra mile in every way -even staying on beyond her time before going home to serve us drinks-a gem. All of the other staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful too.Exceptional in a chain hotel.

Our car had broken down so ended up with an unexpected city break. Great modern room with air conditioning and an empty fridge except for the one essential - cold water. Why don’t all decent hotels do this? Fantastic staff helped by calling garage to get over language issues as well as friendly whenever we needed something. Garage in basement took our tandem beautifully. Great setting next to a park. Admittedly there wasn’t a conference on while we were there but we did feel very well looked after and they definitely helped turn a disaster into a treasure.

Easy to find modern hotel on busy main street. OK to park half on the pavement to quickly unload (buses seem used to this) and then turn sharp right and drive two minutes to underground Parking Ralliement. Friendly reception and all staff generally pleasant and helpful.. Light and rather bland Privilege room at the front. Overlooked very noisy main road but double glazing reasonably effective. Luckily aircon was adequate in a May heatwave. Very comfortable bed, adequate storage, decent lighting and Wifi. No TV channels in English. Kettle (unusual) and coffee machine. Bathroom fine with OK shower in bath. Breakfast selection fine. No restaurant, but associate restaurant Joe Carpa next door was excellent, with no need to book. Also recommend Pizzeria Signorizza nearly opposite. Good location with main square, shops, cathedral, art museum and chateau all within easy walking distance.

Un établissement avec un accueil vraiment chaleureux. Nous avons été surclassés à notre arrivée avec un petit cadeau de bienvenue. La jeune femme de l'accueil nous a très bien conseillés pour découvrir la ville d'Angers, et les restaurants en fonction de nos préférences. La chambre était très confortable et vraiment silencieuse. Je recommande.
