Santa Catarina Apartment

The hotel building is amazing. The charm of the old building, but newly renovated is wonderful. Size of the room was comfortable. Staff was very helpful, breakfast great and the free cookies made our little daughter very happy! Would definitly recommend to stay there, when in Terceira and will come again. Thank you very much!

To start off, the views from this hotel/converted convent are stunning. Our room was immaculate and had a balcony overlooking the ocean. Being out of the town center allowed the space to be quiet and restful. The breakfast was second to none. If we are ever in Terceira again, the Palacio Santa Catarina will definitely be our home base.

This is an amazing property. It's set in an old palace that has been fully renovated, but the original charm and history were perfectly kept. It has an amazing view of the sea and the 2 main mountains of Angra do Heroismo, which you can hike up to for amazing views. The hotel is just a 15-min walk from Rua da Se, the main street with restaurants, bars and shopping. There is plenty of parking available if you have a rental car (which is the best way to explore the island). The beds are comfortable, the whole facility is very clean, breakfast is delicious. Everything looks brand new and charming at the same time. But the best part was the kindness of the people who work there, they all made us feel very welcome.

During our visit to Terceira island we stayed at Santa Catarina Palace for 3 nights and we had a truly amazing stay. The hotel is around 10 min walking from the center of Angra and has a great view over the ocean. The breakfast has a wider variety of Portuguese and international flavours and is served until 11am which is great if you like to sleep a bit more in the morning. There is a bar and a lovely common room to relax or read a book. After spending the day exploring the island we enjoyed relaxing by the room. A really great option if you plan to visit Terceira and want a good hotel close to the city with all the facilities you need.

Die Anlage ist groß und macht einen "edlen" Eindruck, die Zimmer sind schön (zumindest meines) und es funktioniert alles einwandfrei. Es gibt einen kleinen Safe (groß genug für den Laptop) und einen kleinen Kühlschrank. Je nach Zimmer ist die Aussicht sehr - oder eben weniger - spektakulär. Es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze direkt vor der Tür. Das Frühstück ist wirklich gut und reichlich und bietet außerdem eine tolle Aussicht auf den Monte Brasil. Dazu angenehme und unaufdringliche Musik. Der Pool ist ebenfalls sehr schön, liegt nur leider praktisch den ganzen Tag in der Sonne, so dass es dort (zumindet für mich) eher zu heiß war. Aber man kann ihn auch abends benützen, wenn man nicht zu laut ist. :-) Das Wlan funktioniert überall stabil und schnell (nur nicht direkt am Pool). Alles in allem ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt, danke!

O local é muito bonito, bem localizado, com uma vista muito bonita. Todos os espaços são acolhedores e os quartos muito confortáveis! O pequeno-almoço é divinal! Muita variedade… desde leite, iogurtes, sumo natural, fruta, bolos caseiros, ovos mexidos, bacon, etc Muito bom! Se voltarmos à ilha Terceira com certeza será a nossa escolha :)
