Big4 Bays Holiday Park

Pros: Bush setting Good park for families - had quite alot of outdoor games etc to play It was available It was quiet Pet friendly Had a slide in the pool Cons $450 for 3 nights in an unpowered site Several conversations with other campers there and we all were charged different prices. That's off Richter scale. Really disappointed that people charge these prices, and moreso think it's ok to charge one site $250, the other $450 etc Come on, it was unpowered...... 5 toilets and 5 showers for the whole park No water hookup at the site, only in the camp kitchen You had to drive to get to anything around the area The bathroom door was so hard to open- I had to ask for help off people majority of the time I spent most of my showering adjusting the temperature Pool was so small We definitely wouldn't recommend nor be going back - mainly due to finding out the price difference 😔

We stayed in the new bunk houses they were absolutely perfect for our needs had to use the amenities which were very clean the park was very neat and tidy.The grounds man Steve was very helpful to our group and help us settle in nothing was a problem definitely would recommend this park

My family had the best time staying here. We stayed in the 3 bedroom poolside cabin and had ample space for our family of 5. Our cabin had two separate bathrooms so It was great not having to share a bathroom with the kids! Our cabin even had a full kitchen and dishwasher so less time cleaning up and more time spent by the pool and waterslide, which was a hit for all three kids. My older two had fun playing volleyball with some other kids they met in the park. Grace in the office was super helpful and suggested a sand boarding tour and some local cafes. She went above and beyond and even remembered the kids’ names when we came back to check- out. This is our second time staying and we already can’t wait to come back!

Just a heads up to all families or people who have booked or planning to book that it has come to our attention that BIG4 Bays Port Stephens has kept a fire ban on site until the 1st of may despite their own discretion to change it in these unprecedentedly cold times this school holidays....despite there ont being a week and a half until May.... After speaking to them so far they have decided to keep their fire ban until 1st of May, this may impact families with small kids especially after the cold snap we've had with even snow already in the mountains, I know myself and other families and friends are thinking of cancelling out of concern as their are other surrounding accommodation that allow fire for warmth. When I spoke on the phone today the response I was given was curt and rude, however when I spoke to Lynn on the phone she was beautiful and tried to assist as much as she could despite it not being in her control. Whilst I understand this ban is outline in their T&C's I would think that since the ban is in their own discretion that they'd use their powers to accommodate for the safety and comfort of others by moving the ban forward by ONE week especially when paying over $500 to camp....now that it's dark by 5pm and we lose the warmth immediately this is a real concern as even eating dinner in the freezing cold isn't safe. It's now taken what is meant to be a fun and enjoyable holiday to something of high risk and concern.

We stayed on a powered site - the sites a very spacious, the amenities are dated but cleaned twice a day, a large kitchen, lots of space to walk (dog friendly too!) There’s a lot for kids to do - bouncing pillow, pool, games etc I Highly recommend this Caravan Park

Lovely quiet park also Friendly Staff who keep very Clean Amenities Beautiful pool especially for kids as has a slide Great atmosphere lots of shady trees with plenty if room Will definitely visit again
