Handy for the lake and old town but in a quiet area, the rooms are extremely quiet with no outside noise and no noise from other rooms - even though it was busy

The Hotel was in a good location to visit Annecy. The rooms were clean and well equipped.. The food in the Restaurant was very nice with a good choice. The only problem we encountered was although we had booked parking it had not been reserved. However, the staff moved their car so we could park in the side street by the Hotel. The staff were efficient and friendly.

This is a really nice 3* hotel with very pleasant staff who made us feel really welcome. It's situalted very close to the lake and the Imperial Hotel. It's probably about a km walk from the old town. I would recommend hiring a bike to anyone staying around the lake as its the easiest way to get around and very pleasant on warm days. The room was a good size, had a lovely bathroom and the double bed was at least a kingsize. The largest bed I've ever slept in at a hotel! The mattress was very comfortable. The pillows were a bit average in comparison. There was no fridge in the room, maybe you have to request that separately. My only criticism is that the room pretty much constantly smelled of smoke. I suspect the aircon meant people in smoking rooms were perhaps getting smoke circulated around. As a result we had to leave our window open the whole time. It's a shame because otherwise it is really a great place to stay.

Very nice hotel! The staff is friendly, the restaurant and breakfast are nice and the portions well served, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and all for a very affordable price. The hotel is not close to the city centre, but on the other hand, it is very close to the lake, so it's a matter of give and take. It might be great for summer holidays. We are very happy with the hotel!

A lovely hotel. Our deluxe room was spacious. Very comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Very convenient location. Short walking distance along lake front into busy Annecy centre ville. But also close to Plage d’Albigny and small suburb of Albigny with shops, bars, and restaurants. Recommend e-bike hire from Outside Bike, based at Rivage Hotel, a short walk east along Lake front from Hotel Catalpa.

We planned a road trip across Europe and booked almost two months in advance, explaining that we were travelling as a family of 4 and a dog. Initial communication was good and we felt confident of a positive stay. After a very long drive (our fault) we arrived at the hotel to be told there was no parking available and we should have booked, but at no point were we told that or asked if we needed parking. The rooms were clean, but the service from Reception was not that helpful from start to finish. Breakfast was ok, but not sure it was worth the money. We did not eat lunch or dinner in the hotel for that reason. Annecy is beautiful but parking is limited and even more so with a top-box as most car parks had height restrictions. It was an ok hotel, but like most hotels in Annecy overpriced for what it is
