We stayed at Ameliko Zagori in April 2024 and it was a fantastic experience. The owner Dimitris was one of the most knowledgeable and helpful hosts we have ever had, he knew exactly where to advise us to visit and made the effort to discuss our plans every morning. The hotel is located in a beautiful mountain village setting and is something out of a story book. The mountain air is fresh and there is wildlife to see everywhere. We both eat a vegan diet and in the hotel restaurant they catered perfectly to us at both breakfast and dinner. We highly recommend a stay here.

We stayed a couple of nights at the end of August as part of our Epirus Adventures. It is an excellent base for exploration of all the wonders of Zagoria. What a beautiful hotel and restaurant in a fabulous setting. We were given a wonderful welcome by Dimitri, the owner, and Lambros in the restaurant..., all the staff were wonderful. We were shown to our beautiful room which had its own balcony. Superbly decorated throughout and the fabulous bathroom was immaculate. The room had so many little extras which made it feel like a home away from home. We were given all the information we required personally which was lovely. The restaurant, situated in the next building to the hotel up the hill, is excellent and the food was so delicious. We had 2 superb evening meals and the breakfast was a really good buffet with many homemade delights! Drinks were made for us and brought to our table. I tried mountain tea for the first time and it was lovely. We really didnt want to leave, it was so beautiful and peaceful, and wished we'd booked for longer. I can honestly say it is the nicest place Ive stayed and we have been to so many places in Greece. Greek philoxenia at its best, highly recommended

An unforgettable stay !!! The rooms were gorgeous, the view was phenomenal, the breakfast delicious, all was perfect actually. The staff was very friendly and hospitable and made every request seem easy!

Fantastic service and perfect place to stay for hiking trips in the surrounding areas. Owner helped with planning trips for all guests during breakfast and even supported during the day with finding ways in the mountains. Greek experience that can be recommended

What a wonderful hotel! Very quiet with a wonderful staff. The rooms are large with traditional grekk village ambience but modern amenities. Demitros the owner is very friendly and helpful. The hikes in the gorge are well worth the trip. Highly recommend.

A great place! Great hospitality! Very clean and wonderful spacious rooms. The village is very quiet and authentic. Demitri kindly explained to us everything we asked, gave us traveling tips and helped us. A highly recommended place to stay when you travel to Zagoria.

My family recently had a very lovely stay at the Ameliko. The facilities were clean, comfortable and well-apportioned. We particularly appreciated the focus on maintaining a traditional village feel. The staff, and most importantly Dimitris (the owner), were excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast was amazing, and the food and bar service top-notch. The Ameliko is truly a gem and we would highly recommend staying here to anyone. We will stay here again and wish it a long and prosperous existence.

There are magical places that you want to save for yourself, but you feel that you have an obligation to share. Ameliko Zagori is a magical hotel. Well designed, clean, and beautiful. We fell in love with this place the moment we arrived. Located in the small mountain village of Ano Pedina in the Zagori mountains of northern Greece, Ameliko Zagori is a charming destination. The rooms are large and tastefully decorated in the rustic stone style of the area. And they are immaculate. The on-site restaurant serves good breakfasts and dinners. There is ample parking in front. But what really made our stay exceptional was Dimitris, the owner. He put together helpful, detailed itineraries for us for both days of our stay. With his excellent guidance, we really felt like we saw the highlights of this wonderfully scenic area.
