The staff member in question also submitted a detailed statement regarding the incident.Upon your arrival, you expressed dissatisfaction with the room provided—even though it matched your reservation. Our front desk immediately offered a free upgrade to a different room better suited to your preferences. The very next day, you were contacted by phone to ensure your comfort in the new room, and during that conversation, you confirmed by stating, “My new room is perfectly fine.” We appreciated this confirmation as a sign that the issue had been resolved satisfactorily.While it is clear that there was a misunderstanding regarding the complimentary breakfast—offered to you as a goodwill gesture and not reflected in the system due to a clerical oversight—it is also evident that the situation at check-out became highly emotional and confrontational. Witnesses reported that during the interaction, the receptionist was subjected to sustained verbal harassment and mocking, which contributed significantly to the escalation. While this in no way excuses any inappropriate response, it is important to acknowledge that the exchange was not one-sided and that our team was also placed under considerable emotional pressure.That said, we absolutely do not condone any form of offensive or unprofessional language, regardless of provocation. We have addressed the matter internally, and we would like to inform you that the staff member involved will be leaving our team at the end of this month. While this departure was already scheduled as part of internal staffing changes, the situation has reinforced our commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and guest care.We understand you felt deeply hurt by this experience, and we sincerely regret that your stay—originally intended as a relaxing getaway—was impacted in such a negative way. The €100 offered was not meant to diminish your experience, but to acknowledge the distress caused while the matter was being reviewed in full.We respect your right to share your experience, and we remain confident in the supporting evidence we have on file.
