Mas d'en Roqueta

We stayed for 5 nights. We booked as there was meant to be a restaurant on site. Nowhere on the website did it suggest it did not open except for weekends. This is a deception. The man serving breakfast was charming. But breakfast was very plain and the same exactly every day. Overall you feel as if you are slightly in the way when staying here. Room dated, bathroom needs deep clean. As is often the case proprietors should try using rooms and viewing cleanliness from different angles. Bath overflow filthy, sink not clean around the plug hole. Typical of someone flicking with a cloth and not looking. No hooks for clothes in bathroom. A little shower gel provided each day in very cheap sachet. For one day nobody serviced the room (local holiday but not advised to us) so we had to go and find supermarket to buy soap! No drinking glasses provided, we had to go and buy those also). Noisy fan in bedroom (quieter ones are available). I have to agree with earlier comment that noise from the paddle board courts is disturbing, actually very irritating if you are sitting on the balcony or in the garden. Very little local information provided. Most restaurants, at least locally, closed at night and all day earlier in the week. So take knives, forks, plates, bottle opener, tea towels etc and be prepared to self cater without a kitchen. Oh also only bin is a small one in the bathroom. So take bin liners. I think this place has decided not ho be a hotel and you really get that impression. Maybe it was because it was the September but if your heart is not in it, please don't let people look forward to relaxing break and then not provide what you advertise. Our holiday was rescued. for my husband at least, by the local golf course. Here they were very welcoming. I'd not return or recommend which is a shame as the potential is there for it to have been lovely. Felt disappointed
