Auberge du Lac

Beautifully located at the border of the lake. Very friendly hostess. We had a very small room (nr 1) with a tiny bed. The hostess would have given us another room if there was one available tough. Bed was comfortable. Good shower. Breakfast was excellent. Nice private secured parking. Beautiful small swimming pool with perfect view over the lake. We had diner at the border of the lake: nicely priced and very tasteful.

After a nine hour drive from Normandy it was so wonderful to arrive in this very special hotel. The location is superb, carved out of the rock overlooking a beautiful lake. We had an exceptionally warm welcome after we parked in the secure parking. Our room overlooked the lake, was clean, well appointed and tastefully done. I went for a refreshing swim in the infinity pool overlooking the lake before going down to dinner in a terrace by the lake. The service was excellent and the menu imaginative. Dinner was superb and a real highlight. Breakfast the next morning was on an upper terrace. The only minor disappointments were that the orange juice was not freshly squeezed. Also they only served a sweet yogurt; a more varied choice would have been welcome. However, this was a real treat and ranks sufficiently highly that we will definitely return and stay for two days next time. A rare occurrence for us. As we left for the A7 only 20 minutes away we knew this had been an exceptional experience.

The infinity pool and views look even better in real life! Lovely quiet pool area with lots of shade available. We stayed in the junior suite (2 nights) which was lovely it over looked the lake. The hotel is cooled by an under floor cooling system although it kept the rooms cool it was not as good as air-conditioning and with 3 of you in one room it was a bit warm at times. Breakfast was lovely the dinner in the restaurant was amazing! Staff were very friendly and helpful gated car parking.

Super hôtel decoration très cosy, accueil sympathique et chaleureux, chambre très confortable et bien équipée. Personnel aux petits soins. Hotel très calme. petit déjeuner royal. Vue sur le lac. A ne pas rater dans la région ardechoise.

Nous sommes restés une nuit et sommes ravis du bon rapport qualité prix de cet hôtel. On nous a prêtéun berceau et fourni du linge spécifique pour notre bébé. Belle décoration, propreté irréprochable, personnel souriant et bon petit-déjeuner. On reviendra pour tester le restaurant.
