Fergus Style Carema Beach

Hotel excellent, very very clean and the staff friendly and helpful (Stevie G & Eric the lifeguard especially). The views from the hotel are nothing short of spectacular and the location is right next to the beach & the marina which has ample restaurants that cater for all tastes. Capriccio’s restaurant is a hidden gem (Google it). Thanks again & see you next year. (Room 3304 overlooks the road which does get busy but once the patio door is closed, you can’t hear a thing)

Excellent hotel. Super standard of rooms and facilities. Buffet breakfast was first rate with large selection catering for everyone Evening buffet was excellent quality and large selection of good food. Hotel is super clean everywhere and is very noticeably clean. Pool and facilities are excellent. To be recommended.

I loved this place, the staff were not in your face and bothering you all the time like at some hotels!! There were no airs and graces and pretentious it does exactly what it says on the box! The hotel is quite exceptionally clean and right on the beach. Staff were cleaning and sweeping all day long and when it rained one evening were there mopping entrances to keep us safe. We went half board there was always something to find to eat and was fresh and well presented although next time we will go bed and breakfast as you are next to marina with more choices. The cutlery and crockery was not an issue for us as had no intention of preparing food in room, but kettle and mugs perfect for early morning tea!! Eric was so lovely the life guard and pool attendant he was from Peru and very interesting to chat with. I am definitely going to make his mums fish head soup 😄 We had a garden privilege room we paid for upgrade and got a fantastic deal well worth it for us as we both have knee issues!!!😩 and ground floor was perfect. Supermarket across road great for nibbles and tonic water (bought gin on flight) so happy hour was perfect every day. If you want to go away not be herded and organised but have everything at your finger tips this place is the right choice we have stayed in Cala’n Bosch many times before in many different hotels and apartments but this is the best for all our needs x Perfect for adeal

Two weeks of brilliant sunshine in this glorious hotel. Staff were always helpful and smiling. Our room was very clean and comfortable. What more to ask.

Having just returned from our third visit to this wonderful resort in the last two years and having time to reflect I thought I would give a review on "Fergus Style Carema Beach" or as we fondly know it as simply "Carema Beach" I would like to cover not so good points first thus enabling me to finish on the positives. Negative points: I booked this last holiday over a year ago via the Jet 2 website at which time the only room option given was B&B in an apartment with side sea view. During our stay we spoke to other guests that stated they although only having booked within the last couple of months were offered other apartment and board options ? My wife has a disability that makes using stairs very difficult, so as suggested by Carema Beach reception staff on our previous visit, I emailed Carema Beach three months before we were due to travel requesting if possible to be allocated an apartment in one of the lift serviced areas. I did receive a prompt but standardised email stating my request would be noted but may not be granted dependant on apartments available at the time. On arrival we were told that we had indeed been allocated an apartment serviced by a lift. However the room wasn't ready to occupy for an hour or so but we were welcome to use the hotel amenities whilst we waited. On returning an hour or so later to complete our check-in we were then told there was no apartment in a lift serviced block available until the following day and that, that wouldn't have a sea view. We settled for the sea view apartment offered at the time and managed accordingly. Credit where credit is due the chap on reception did take our luggage up to our apartment. The air conditioning in our apartment was far from adequate which other guests had also stated about theirs. Pool side bar prices have rocketed. I was charged nearly five and a half Euros for a "large beer", which is called "large beer" because it is well short of a pint (please don't state the economic climate) when it is possible to purchase a full "Pint" of beer at the Marina bars for little more than three and a half Euros. Whilst I fully understand Carema Beach is a family resort and thus don't whish to entertain drunken rowdiness, one only has to look around to see that many folk were drinking sensibly but having been to the supermarket and purchased beer at a vastly reduced price instead of from the pool bar. Why not just reduce the bar prices and maybe just maybe the bar would make something like a profit ? Positive points. Receptionist "Carmen" was an absolute diamond and was so very helpful and kind during our stay. Our apartment was spotless with a nice side sea / pool view. The shower was superb with no hot water availability issues. The Restaurant was also spotless with a large selection of food/drink available. A nice touch here was that any fruit left after each breakfast/lunch was cut up, placed in little paper cups and distributed free of charge to guests around the
