Ionian Plaza Hotel recensioner

We landed here after the Kefalonia Grand cancelled as they were not opening. The accommodation is good. Bed is small but ok. The windows overlook the square which is lovely off season but I can imagine it’s very loud when in season. The staff are ok. Breakfast for British is lacking - pastries, tasteless cornflake type things and meat/ cheese. Absolutely NO GF so if you’re celiac bring stuff with you! ( the restaurant across the way does gf) I would not stay here in high season unless you are a night owl as I think it would be loud until early morning.

Brilliant location over looking the main square. Loads of bars restaurants and shops that really come alive in the evening. Rooms are nice, very clean and serviced daily. Continental buffet breakfast which is pretty good (most are far far worse). Small gym with decent selection of equipment for 'a keep on top of it style workout'. Staff are 100%. Lady at reception really bent over backwards to accommodate, making tea and coffee and delivering to room. She really was a star. They don't have an evening menu, but being on the square, finding something to eat is not a problem. 1 minute walk from harbour front and even more bars, eateries and shops. Really would recommend for the price. And as a bonus, they have their own carpark at the rear which is free for customer use.

Average hotel ambivalent staff who only sprung to life when demanding payment when we returned from a meal out on our last night having declined our offer of payment on check in!! Inadequate breakfast hardly worthy of the name. Great location though 👍

We had a room in the newly-renovated part and it was FABULOUS and done up to a very high standard indeed. However, the lobby is an embarrassment, and the breakfast is a holdover from the 80's -- by far the worst breakfast I've had in any hotel this year. The good news (for the hoteliers!) is that the architecture of the lobby and the [adjoining] breakfast room and porch is fundamentally lovely. It all just needs de-junking (what's with the three zillion sofas in the small lobby?!) and freshening up. As for the breakfast, they need to find somebody to bring them into this century. Espresso and capuccino is pretty much expected, but if there's only filter coffee it at least requires real cream. Cold boiled eggs work for picnics but not breakfast, so they at least need a breakfast chef who can do eggs on order. The pastries were poor-quality commercial grade and not very fresh, the cereal was unimaginative, and the fruit uninspiring... While the unrenovated rooms aren't as fashionable as the new rooms, I know from my husband who has stayed here several times on business that they're just as clean and spacious and many also have balconies overlooking the square.

Hotel nella piazza principale, location ottima e molto comoda per girare la sera. Camera ordinata e pulita, tutti i giorni venivano cambiati gli asciugamani. Letto abbastanza comodo, aria condizionata utilissima per riposare. Lato rumorosità, nonostante la piazza piena la sera, si riposava bene. Stazione taxi a 50 metri. Personale cortese, colazione con scelta dolce e salato buona. Disponibile una piccola palestra al primo piano. Sarebbe un eccellente, purtroppo c'è un piccolo neo: lo sciacquone in bagno aveva un problema che limitava moltissimo il riposo notturno. Il condizionatore ha coperto la magagna... Cmq hotel stra consigliato per un soggiorno ad Argostoli.

Αξιοπρεπούς μεγέθους καθαρά δωμάτια, κομψά επιπλωμένα στην καρδιά του Αργοστολιού. Ευγενικό και πρόθυμο προσωπικό. Τα πρωϊνά σερβίρονται σε όμορφο χώρο （εσωτερικό και εξωτερικό）. Από άποψη ποιότητας τα πρωϊνά χρειάζονται βελτίωση.

Πολύ ωραίο δωμάτιο, πολύ καθαρό με θεα την πλατεία του Αργοστολίου και από κάτω ολα στα πόδια σου ! Ευγενικό προσωπικό. Ομως, το πρωινό ενώ λειτουργούσε μέχρι τις 11.00 κάθε μέρα από τις 10.15 δεν είχε βασικά πράγματα ! Παρατήρησα ο,τι τελείωνε η ομελέτα και τα λουκάνικα ή έμεναν 4 φέτες λευκό ψωμί πάνω στο μπουφέ του πρωινού και δεν έβαζαν άλλα ενώ κόσμος κατέβαινε εκείνη την ώρα να φάει . Ρώτησα 3 στα 5 πρωινά και μου είπαν τα κοριτσια που ήταν στο μπουφέ ότι δε θα ξανά βγάλουν άλλα. Όταν λέμε μέχρι τις 11.00 τουλάχιστον να έχει φαγητά μέχρι τις 10.45. Χρήζει βελτίωσης και ποικιλίας ! Το Νησί σας μαγικό ! Ευχαριστούμε !
