The rooms are very homely and cosy, clean and beautifully decorated. Large room, very comfortable bed and well equipped. Complimentary toiletries a lovely touch. David and Penny are very welcoming and friendly. Please try the restaurant, you won’t regret it. The food is fantastic. Couldn’t recommend this little gem enough.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights earlier this month. The hosts are friendly, welcoming and helpful. At the time of booking on-line there was no room available for the two successive nights we required so I booked a different room for each night, however David juggled things to provide us with the same room (with a seaview!) for both nights. The location is excellent with views over the bay. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was particularly good and the towels were some of the fluffiest! The breakfast was excellent – just what you need to set you up for the day and the evening meals served in the restaurant were delicious. Very convenient for Arisaig Marine ferries. Recommended.

Arrived for lunch on way to Mallaig. Whilst the restaurant may be in need of a facelift the food was excellent. First rate service. The scallops were what we’d been looking for all holiday and would highly recommend. If you’re passing this way make sure to stop by.

Nice dinner in quaint setting. Not many options in Arisaig. Not amazing food but interesting and well presented. Lots of local and Scotish options. Please staff do not not come in and fill the cutlery trays as customers are eating dinner...an ambience killer! Other than insensitivity..good service.

Nice little Bed & Breakfast with a restaurant. Very helpful and pleasant staff and delicious breakfasts and dinners. Also nice view of the Skerries from our bedroom. Convenient if arriving by bus or train. Within reach of beautiful white beaches - Back of Keppoch.

Dinner at the Old Library and it was wonderful. The food was sensational (I had the special [chicken and sauce] and my partner had the fish [cooked perfectly]) and Penny and David were delightful as always. What a setting too, overlooking Arisaig bay, with a sunset. What more could you want?

I’ve previously stayed at this hotel but this time we took our motorhome and booked at table for dinner. Best to telephone and speak to them. We had a 6.30 sitting on a beautiful west coast evening with no midges I might add. The menu is not that impressive but I know from previous experience, the specials on the blackboard are always what makes this place. I chose scallops followed by dover sole which is unusual for Scotland. Both were excellent and even managed a dessert. The service was great, friendly and not rushed. Prices very reasonable for such great food. Hope to see you next year…

At first I wasn't quite sure about the "restaurant with rooms" tag, but having stayed here, it makes perfect sense. Don't get me wrong, the rooms are great - clean, pretty and among the largest we stayed in all trip. The food however, is in a class of its own - easily the best we had, and we did plenty of eating ;-) We ate here both evenings, and especially the seafood and the lamb were very popular indeed in our group. The breakfasts were also very good, freshly made and delicious. Everyone we interacted with was kind, friendly and attentive, it was a really lovely experience all round. I appreciated that we were asked ahead of time if we wanted to have dinner there - it definitely gets full and it would have been such a shame to miss out on this!

We booked a week in early June. Mixed weather - sunny intervals and occasional showers, but nothing to stop us enjoying a return visit to a wonderful area. If you like taking photos, then maybe the weather that we had is actually better than 'full sun'. We had a room at the back of the Old Library - large, loads of storage and a good shower. The restaurant (we had breakfast and dinner) was good. Breakfast, cooked to order, was always a pleasure and so was dinner. The evening menu in the always busy restaurant was supplemented by blackboard specials. We enjoyed everything but particularly the rack of lamb, the pickled herring, the home recipe gravadlax, the grilled haddock and the very generous ice creams from Isle of Arran. Service was efficient, attentive and charming. Happy memories.
