Vila Gale Nautico

Vila Gale Nautico provided us with a wonderful and relaxing stay. From the friendly greeting at the front desk on arrival, all the staff were so gracious. We would like to highlight the Dining Room staff, Jose, Ayla and Paula they are outstanding on customer service always with a smile and made dining a pleasure. The food options were excellent and always fresh and delicious. We look forward to a return visit.

This is the fourth time we have visited this hotel and was probably the best experience we had of all four visits. The hotel is situated within a short walk to the beach and a charming town with beautiful sea views. We liked the fact this was a smaller hotel for all inclusive amenities. The staff in the restaurant, snack bar, reception and cleaning staff work tirelessly and are extremely pleasant. It was a shame that we witnessed some holiday makers being rude and speak disrespectfully to the staff. Unnecessary as the staff here cannot do enough for you. Food and drink options here are plentiful. There was a seafood themed dinner one evening- knowing our two children would not be happy with this, we opted to eat out at Piccolino’s- a fabulous pizza restaurant on the seafront. A definite winner if you need a break from all inclusive style dining. The one area the hotel could improve (and this is only a minor issue) is the fact that when I used the gym- although the equipment was sufficient for a workout, having no air conditioning or water dispensers made the workout quite unpleasant. Overall, we would definitely return again to this hotel as it has a charm about it unmatched by many similar all inclusive options.

We stayed here for a week in May with our 3 year old and 6 month old. Firstly the hotel is spotlessly clean and all the staff are accommodating with children. The food selection was small in the restaurant but every day was something different for dinner which made it worth being a small selection. Meats were freshly cooked infront of you and the food kept warm with closed containers. The Portuguese and Brazil nights offering a lot flavour. We also had a meal in the Italian speciality restaurant which was lovely. The snack bar at the pool was all fresh to order however sometimes the service was a little slow in here/one of the waiters was very abrupt and a little rude/sarcastic. Although the cocktail selection included in the AI is limited to the cocktail of the day this is not a problem as all cocktails are made fresh to order and not just a juicy mixture. We had a problem where the electrics stopped working in our room and this was fixed within 10 minutes of reporting it which was impressive. A main negative for us is that the outdoor pool is extremely cold and not useable for young kids most of the time and it also doesn’t seem to be cleaned. The floor around the pool/bed are dirty with a lot of bird poo, the beds are cleaned but the floor seems to be neglected. The inside pool you cannot use without a swim cap which ruined the experience for us as we could then no longer use it. Overall, the positives 100% outweigh the negatives and we would look to stay here again (if we were a family that repeated places they’ve already been to).
