Vila Gale Nautico

Never had a hot meal in ten days, please don't attempt to eat the chicken ,almost raw in the middle , a restaurant that cannot keep soup warm has a real problem, I have never seen a breakfast as poor in my life, whatever it is that is supposed to pass as bacon I have no idea, if you like cold scrambled egg and cold baked beans you will be fine. Never again.... shocking.

This was our third stay at the villa gale Nautico, but boy as it gone down. The rooms are lovely, very clean and comfortable, our room and bathroom had been updated and had a sea view at the front of the hotel. The pool bar was great , good service and good snacks. The main restaurant was the same as before but food on offer was a let down, few choices and poorer quality. The biggest disappointment for us was the cheese table, which on previous visits was fantastic, lots of choice and changed everyday, this visit it was the same three cheeses everyday. The worst thing about this hotel was the lack of entertainment, we had one night of so called entertainment, a singer, who sat in the dark corner and mimed to a tape. The animation team consisted of only three girls , who although they worked very hard , they couldn’t stretch themselves to entertain the busy hotel from morning to night. It’s a shame this hotel lets itself down so badly in some areas, because although we love Armacao de Peda we won’t be using Villa Nautico again

Returned last Thursday from this hotel. This was our second time in this resort. Fabulous location 5 mins ftom lovely sandy beach. My friend and I did mainly go to the Beach as we love it. The sea was freezing this year which was a shame wasn't last year. Hotel rooms are lovely asked for a kettle which was supplied straight away. Fridge in room which is stocked daily. Lots of sun beds round pool. Great breakfast had freshly cooked omelette, lovely croissants and roll's, good choice. We loved the snack bar, great smoked salmon baguettes and toasties oh and pastries. Lovely ice creams all in. Really good value for money this hotel. Great location. Staff so helpful and polite. My dad and I are currently on day 6 of our father/daughter holiday at this lovely hotel, from the start the staff have been warm, welcoming and attentive. The rooms are of a very good standard and beds are made daily, towels changed etc, we have a pool view which is very nice and can also see the sea! All the communal areas of this hotel are well maintained, tables cleared quickly in the restaurant, everywhere is very clean, glasses and rubbish collected regularly around the pool etc. I was worried after reading the reviews that being a vegetarian I would be living off salad and chips for a week but there have been very good vegetarian options at all mealtimes and I've thoroughly enjoyed the food available, hot, lots of variety and super tasty! We also got to enjoy the a la carte restaurant for Father's day included in our stay and this gave a different experience with again gorgeous food! The location of the hotel is perfect, not a long commute, over the road from the beach, close to the town centre and centrally located for those wanting to hop in a car/on a bus to explore the local cities. The drinks on the all inclusive are of good quality and of course endless supply! My only criticism would be that the evening entertainment hasn't been great some evenings but that may be different in months where it is busier as most nights there were not many people sitting in the bar where the entertainment was as there are options of sitting outside or in the dedicated Euros football 'fan zone' (which was a nice touch). Overall this has been a fantastic stay and I'm already looking to come next year and bring my husband and 3 kids as I think they will love it! Would really recommend!

♥ Pros: This was my first holiday abroad. I went with my fiancé and can happily say, I was not disappointed. Great holiday, only a 5 minute walk to the beach. Close to shops and lots to do around the hotel. It was all inclusive. Great food & drinks (Loved the cocktails of the day!). We mostly ate our weight in food, drank cocktails and sat by the pool soaking up the sun. When we weren't relaxing by the pool, we walked down to the beach or went shopping. We did a excursion on a boat to see the caves & dolphins (Unfortunately, we didn't get to see the dolphins but was still a lovely part of the holiday!) All in all, great hotel, great food, great drinks and great holiday! Staff were really nice and great service at breakfast, lunch & dinner! *** Bonus: It was my birthday when we went here and they left a chocolate cake + wine in our bedroom with a cute birthday note! ☺ *** Cons: • Had to pay extra to use the safe (€2 per day!) • No kettle but all we had to do was ask reception. Asked in the morning around 8am but they didn't actually drop of the kettle until 4pm and only gave us decaf coffee (There was also a variety of teas). It was our last day and we already went twice to reception to ask about the kettle so didn't want to go back a third time to ask for normal coffee rather than decaf. • I did call reception and ask if the mini fridge could be filled with pepsi max rather than pepsi to which they confirmed they will do this on the following day but they continued to refill the mini fridge with pepsi rather than my request of pepsi max. (I did only ask once but wasn't really fussed to ask a second time).

Hotel was very clean and staff were very good, could not fault the place for that, thought the food was average at best but found something daily but had to look hard, the Italian restaurant was very good and worth booking once a week free. Entertainment was for kids and poor for couples but the staff did their best on a limited budget if they had a budget. Some British families made the most of the AI leaving food all over their area and on the floor and sun beds daily, even stubbing cigs on the table, once again the staff got on with the cleaning with out a moan, remarkably. Overall would not go back but if I had children under the age of 10 then all good.
