The people were friendly, making us feel like part of the family. We stayed in the "new rooms," which were very nice and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed the home-cooked meal that was served. The only downside was the late breakfast, which we missed because we wanted to start our day early.

Came here for a late lunch/early dinner on a Snaefellsnes peninsula tour. What a lovely meal! The food was hot and comforting; lots of pasta and sauces to choose from and the pork was delicious. The cake for dessert was delightful as well. The staff was nice and seemed to really enjoy meeting us.

Lysuholl was the most incredible attraction on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. They provided a buffet-style dinner (best gravy I've ever had). Rooms were spacious and gave us an incredible view of the northern lights. Horseback tour to the beach was also phenomenal. I highly recommend visiting here!

We loved our stay here! Jóhanna is amazing. She really took care of us and invited us to come join a tour group for dinner (which wasn't included for us). Breakfast was included in our stay, which was delicious. Her dinner was one of the best home cooked meals I have had! This was a great place to escape the city lights and base your Snæfellsnes peninsula adventures from. We stayed in the winter so we couldn't go horseback riding but we were told we could see them whenever we wanted. Plus there were friendly barn cats that were cuddly and followed us around. We had our own private cabin, which could easily sleep 8 (we were only 3 people so we had a ton of room). And to top off the amazing stay, we got to experience the northern lights! We would definitely stay here again!

The cabin was small but well appointed with a good shower and comfortable bed. The views were outstanding, mountains to the back and water to the front. Of course, horses were all around. We didn’t have their dinner, but the included breakfast was varied and plentiful.

We arrived an hour or so before the kitchen officially closed. The food was served buffet style. Much of what should have been hot food was tepid or cold (room temperature). There were no warming trays or lids. Some of the offerings had run out. The food we tried was tasty, but left us wishing it was hot. It would probably be a reasonably good value if you arrive near the beginning of the serving hours.
