Very clean room with beautiful views out over idyllic Loch Long. The Cobbler, a great hike, is nearby. There is a pub with a restaurant next door, but be sure to order before 20.30 when the kitchen closes. Breakfast was hearty and well presented, served in a conservatory beside the loch. No problems with the stay. Parking is directly outside on the street. There is wifi. The staff are friendly.

I stayed here friday 14th June and Sunday 23rd when I arrived on the Friday I was told I hadn't booked breakfast so I paid for it when I went down for the breakfast in the morning the table hadn't been cleared from the last guest the one sausage I had was cold the tiny bit of bacon I had was like rubber and there were black hair in the milk which I sent back, the shower didn't work properly so I had a cold one, when I arrived on Sunday I didn't book breakfast and explained why the receptionist said they had not had any complaints before, when I went to the room it smelt damp and I had no tea bags I had to go and find someone so I could make myself a cup of tea all in all it wasn't a good experience

There was no hot water in our room for our whole stay. We talked to a staff member and she laughed saying others had complained about it as well and she would contact someone to check it but he was busy in other hotels. There was no manager that we could talk to about this and nobody contacted us to address the issue. There was also a fire alarm that went off from 2.30am to 4am with no staff present to fix it. This hotel is obviously unattended at night which is a safety problem. The location was amazing. Very good breakfast and good sized rooms. I have rated it as 2 as our friends were staying in another room and only had the issue with the alarm.

We arrived early because of an overnight/early morning flight and were served hot coffee, tea and toast while being accommodated with an early check-in. Thanks to the hardworking staff! The room was a wee bit small but clean and comfortable. Had a nice meal next door and met fellow travelers.

Lovely position looking over loch long and the mountains across the water. The bedroom was quite small but comfortable with everything you could need and the shower was larger than normal. We were asked every day if we wanted the room cleaned....great. Fantastic full breakfast and very friendly staff 😀

We parked round the back of the G/H and were blown away, views so amazing. When we checked into the G/H our views from our room were the same. Room spacious, clean. Amazing!! Love place to stay. Staff welcome too. The G/H owned the pub adjoin so we had our evening meal there too, lovely. Nice walks in the village too. But the Loch WOW!!

I had a wonderful time here, came for a wedding, stayed here alone, I felt safe and secure, clean and tidy, great pub with good food right next door, what made my stay was the lovely manager Diane, she went above and beyond to make my stay special, she was truly amazing, she makes me want to return, I'm trying to get all my friends to come next year with me. I'd definitely recommend this gem, I can't say anything about breakfast, because I didn't try it, but it smelt and looked amazing, the area is awesome, so tranquil and beautiful and the locals are so friendly. I'll be back Diane my sweet new friend, I didn't get to say goodbye, but I hope to say hello again soon. Yvette aka Jacqueline

Very welcoming, we had to go to the pub next door to collect our key which was fine, we got offered to add breakfast to our room, Room was small but cosy clean and warm when we entered with a beautiful view, there is a information pack left on the dresser with activities We booked a 2 night stay and paid £7.50 for breakfast which was well worth its price, freshly cooked staff were very welcoming and told us about the local area, and what to get upto in our stay, We ate at the pub attached which is highly recommended food was amazing with large portions we couldn’t finish, also wasn’t too expensive

I have stayed at this quest house quite a few times on my journey to and from the isle of mull as a couple this was the first time travelling on my own, I have given positive reviews in the past but this time I felt disappointed. Room 5 is so tiny and grey I felt claustrophobic it was on the roadside so traffic noise was awful on my second stay on my way back from mull it was karaoke night so I couldn't get to sleep until almost 1am. On the plus note the staff are lovely warm and welcoming breakfast was good aswell when I stay next year I will try and get a room overlooking the loch
