Georges Boutique Hotel and Culinary Retreat

We had such a relaxing stay at this hotel lovely service and a great spot ! natasha was excellent to deal with and made our stay really enjoyable! we had lovely oceans views from our room and had dinner down in the restraunt which was delicious, highly recommend!

We stayed in Suite 1, with a gorgeous view to the sea, gardens and grapevines which we much preferred to the view to the sea, but maybe more houses and cropland to the other side. The room was modern, very spacious, comfortable and very clean the same as the bathroom. Natasha was always available on the phone and served us delicious breakfasts every day. Coffee was great! We had daily visits from sulphur crested cockatoos, rosellas and ducks and the occasional kangaroo. We had a very pleasant weekly stay. We loved the place and will definitively plan to return!

Where do we start? We booked through Qantas and were charged the price for suite 2 (the most expensive room). When we arrived, we were given room 4 - which is basically a dungeon without windows. After much back and forth with the owner, we moved to room 5, which at least has a window, but no view. No culinary experience because the restaurant is closed - which was not pointed out prior. The lounge room is locked, so it's not even possible to enjoy the view or the fire place. The owner was very unfriendly and unaccommodating.

Booked two nights thinking we were getting a ‘boutique hotel’. Restaurant not open, no one around to assist - totally deserted. Dealing with the owner was interesting. Was told she was two hours away and could not help, offered for us to leave with a full refund. We agreed to stay as it was around 5pm and we had nowhere else to go. Woke up the next morning to a text asking us to vacate and we had until 12noon and again offering us a refund for the second night. We agreed to leave as it really was not up to a scratch. When following up the offer to refund ($650) was told it was reneged and we could take them to the small claims court. We did get our money back as we put the charge in dispute with our bank for a service we paid for and did not receive. Thank goodness we saved all text and email exchanges. A very poor experience of hospitality. Will never go back or recommend

If you have a special occasion to celebrate, the accommodation, food & service is on point. Such opulence and comfort, beautifully styled in a serene setting. From a view over the sea, with a vineyard out the front and kangaroos grazing nearby to the most comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom products. Would love to come back. Thank you for helping us celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary in style!

We booked through Emirates Skywards Hotels, paying with Emirates Miles. A few days before our stay, we had another lockdown, and George's Boutique Hotel would not allow to rebook at a later time, even though we offered to stay during the week. Rocketmiles (all hotel bookings and payments are managed by Rocketmiles when using Emirates points) were very helpful trying to negotiate. They reached out to the owner of the hotel to request to change the dates on our behalf. However, despite their efforts, our request was not approved by the hotel. Rocketmiles apologised for the outcome. The new owner of George's Boutique Hotels & Culinary Retreat was very rude.
