Karibu Heritage House

This is a more basic but very helpful and friendly hotel. We stayed either side of a safari and had two different rooms. The garden lodge room was spacious but quite basic. On return we had an inside room which was of a higher standard. The food is basic but good , although a bit more than some other places we have stayed. The staff were very accommodating. We felt safe in the hotel. We would use it again. Thank you.

We stayed at the Karibu Heritage House for three nights (one night before our safari and two nights during our safari schedule) in June 2024. On arrival we were warmly greeted by Sifael who is a wonderful host and all the staff are very friendly. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The restaurant is nice and our evening meals were delicious. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to use the swimming pool but if we had more time we have done so. The hotel is perfect as a base to start or end a safari or to explore Arusha. We accidentally left some items of luggage behind after leaving for Lushoto (about 6 hours away) and Sifael very kindly arranged to have the items put on a bus and we received them 24 hours after we had made contact with him to ask him to check if we had left them at the hotel. A very kind gesture from a true gentleman.

I had a very great Stay in the Karibu Heritage. Rooms are comfy and clean. The staff is very polite and welcoming. The food of the restaurant is very well done. And there are some monkeys jumping around in the garden. Would definitely recommend!

Bed sheets were dirty, we found body hair on them (photos on my comment) + Blankets are dusty, I don’t recommend if you’re allergic ! + No hot water, I asked at the reception but didn’t have any solution but to take a cold shower… + DO NOT EAT AT THE RESTAURANT : the food is average and I have been sick just after, a nightmare when you’re suppose to travel to the airport… 😥 + Bugs on the floor in the room… Staff is good but, clearly do not take the risk of being sick or have a bad experience !

My partner and I stayed at the Karibu Heritage hotel before our Safari trip with Wakanda tours. We were greeted by very friendly and helpful front of house staff, in particular Sifael went out of his way to cater to all our needs. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean and had a lovely balcony... perfect spot for reading whilst taking in the scenary! The bed was very comfortable too, which we appreciated after traveling for three days to reach Tanzania. Sifael was very helpful in providing recommendations for where to eat, he suggested George's Tavern and he wasn't wrong in his description of the place...'very nice and delicious food'. Breakfast at the Karibu Heritage hotel was great too and set us up nicely for our first Safari day! I couldn't recommend Karibu Heritage hotel highly enough!
